Being offered is a very original 1983 Volvo 240 Turbo. This is a southern car with it's original paint and very nice southern body. The paint still looks good with only a few minor imperfections and showing a little thin on the trunk lid only. We sold this car several years ago to a car enthusiast who pampered this car. We are a Volvo restoration facility and we always serviced this car for the prior owner. We installed a new blower motor, shocks, tie rod ends, valve cover gasket, belts, hoses, battery, etc...This car has always been serviced as it should and runs, idles, drives and shifts great with the turbo boosting as it should with excellent oil pressure. There are no funny noises, no shimmy and no smoke-it runs great and yes it can be driven home without any worries. All guages, clock, tachometer, boost gauge, oil pressure gauge, lights work as they should. The only gauge currenty not working correctly is the odometer and we estimate the actual mileage at 138k miles. The only other thing we see that does not work is the a/c which more than likely needs a charge. The leather seats were changed out with a later 240 cloth seats but we have the original leather seats if the new owner prefers. They do show wear and really should be recovered if you prefer the leather. The cloth seats and the interior look great but the dash has a few cracks, dash caps are available on eBay for a very reasonable price. The only other item we could find is a small exhaust leak when the engine is cold but quits as it warms up so we decided not to repair. If you are looking for a nice original older Volvo 240 Turbo this car willl be hard to beat with its original paint, Virgo wheels, etc...Again this car runs and drives great and can be driven across country without worry-.
