Vehicle Detail
2006 Subaru Baja Turbo I bought this vehicle in December of 2009 with 22k miles from a dealer in Oregon. It now has an Ohio title. I have driven it for a little over 3 years enjoying an additional 56k trouble free miles. This was my first Subaru and it made me understand why Subaru owners always buy another. Very reliable with no problems. I have never driven a vehicle that handles better on snowy roads. Even in a heavy snowfall, I was able to drive the speed limit with complete confidence, while changing lanes and passing traffic. Subaru's AWD is incredible. The Turbo gives the 4 cylinder plenty of power, but maintains good mpg. The vehicle has a remote starter, which makes coworkers envious as I climb into a warm car each morning and after work! The starter operates from hundreds of feet away. Very convenient. I consider this to be a great all purpose vehicle. It handles and rides like a car, instead of a truck. The four doors allow you to carry four adults, the trailer hitch adds to the versatility of uses, the covered truck bed and extension gate handled all of my needs, and the AWD allows you to go almost any where at any time. As for condition: There are no mecahnical issues. The only reason for selling on Ebay is it allows a national visibility. All four brake pads were replaced at 74k miles. All four tires were replaced less than a month ago and have less than 1k mile on them. This is my 2nd set of Toyo Extensa tires. I got way over 40k miles on the last set and only replaced them because winter was coming and wanted fresh tread. The exterior is in great shape. Shiny paint and no dents. Very minor corrosion on rims. The only cosmetic issue is where I attempted to fix a couple cracks in the driver's seat side cushion where you climb in. The leather repair worked great, but impossible to match the original leather grain exactly. I have included a photo of this area. I am very diligent about changing oil every 3k miles. May be over-kill, but I figure an oil change is cheaper than an engine. The only reason I am selling is because I don't need two cars. If you want a fully loaded Subaru Baja, I would strongly recommend this one. I am asking much less than trade in value and far less than retail.
