1971 Pontiac Catalina - Successful past bidder backed out on the transaction. If you bid - please follow through... this is a great old car in great condition and you will be getting a huge amount of parts with the car. Three owner car from the Inland Northwest. First owner was a Dr. in Spokane that had it from 1971 to ~1974. Second owner had it from ~1974 until this past summer (2012). Here's what I know about it - from the second owner. The car was driven as a daily driver until retirement. At just before retirement - the previous owner went fully through the car - overhauled the engine, installed a heavy duty transmission, and put rear air shocks and a class 4 trailer hitch on the back for his planned post retirement trips. Due to an injury - the owner only put an additional 3k miles on the car from that time to the time he sold as he could no longer drive. The car is in excellent condition with no rust and clean shiny chrome. It can be driven anywhere and is in excellent condition. FYI - the hood and the truck lid will need to be re-painted (clear coat is coming off), but haven't proceeded with that as the buyer of this car may want to do something entirely different. Additional information - we had the headliner replaced after we bought it with a new one professionally installed. Other things - the gas gauge doesn't currently work..... missing rear passenger door trim - but I have a piece that will go with the car along with 2 car covers, engine parts trim pieces and more.....
