Beautiful original Mercedes 300SEL with air ride. This car is rust free and starts and drives perfectly. It is a very rare find as it is a 300SEL but with the original stock economical 6 cylinder 2.8 engine instead of the huge 6.3 engine. This is a real plus due to the modest fuel consumption and expense of repairs. Almost all 300SEL's have the 8 cylinder gas consuming engines. The 8 cylinder hot rod engines are also extremely costly to maintain. There were very few of these made. The seats and carpet are perfect. The dash is burl and beautiful. The car has been repainted the original gold color many years ago. Tires are 80% and have plenty of life left. Sunroof works but slowly. The radio is fine but the speakers are shot. Auto door locks work great. Emergency flashers do not work and the air bags go down over night but when started they pump right up and are fine all day. Tracks straight down the road and drives very nice.Lots of paperwork on car from 1970. This car will only go up in value. On Jan-19-13 at 14:02:12 PST, seller added the following information: I have been informed that this vehical has a 3.0 V6 fuel injected engine and not the 2.8 V6. as has been listed. It is a little larger and is the factory engine. On Jan-21-13 at 20:28:46 PST, seller added the following information: The information added Jan-19 is incorrect. Someone told me this was a 3.0 when in fact the original listing was correct all along. It has the original 2.8 straight 6 cylinder fuel injected engine as is in the original description. Sorry for the confusion.
