Up for Auction is a Black/White 2008 Ford Crown Victoria – Police Interceptor with a 4.6 liter V-8. Starting bid for this vehicle will be $2500.00, and the bidding will conclude seven days from start of auction. The vehicle shows having 66,408 miles; however, actual mileage is 87,736 miles at beginning of this listing. The instrument cluster was replaced with used unit on 06-19-12. The vehicle has ABS light on, and Ford diagnosed as needing the ABS computer. We will not be repairing ABS system. Normal braking is not affected - only ABS system. This is a retired Police patrol squad that was maintained and serviced on a regular basis and is now surplus property up for auction. The vehicle starts, runs, and drives, but observe all photos of the vehicle for body condition and any noted damage. The vehicle has some minor body scratches, scuffs and dents consistent with the photos. The driver seat is ripped, passenger seat appears in good condition, and the rear seat was never used as it had a fiberglass seat installed while in service. The rear left door weather stripping is torn (see photos). The vehicle does have power windows and door locks and is listed as having dark charcoal cloth interior. The heat and a/c are totally functional. No inspection or other service has been or will be performed on this vehicle. Ford motor company builds the Crown Victoria Police Interceptors for Heavy Duty use, with Heavy Duty Suspension. This vehicle may be viewed in person (APPOINTMENT ONLY) by contacting the East Dundee Police Department at 847-428-4034 Monday - Friday from 9am-4pm.
