Vehicle Detail

0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false If you have something to tow or haul I believe this is the perfect truck. If I still had something to tow, or even plans in the near future to pick up something to tow, I would not be selling this truck. As it is, I no longer have a need for this truck and have decided to purchase something that is more urban friendly for the daily commute with more room for my family. I am the second owner on this truck and it’s been in my possession for nearly 10 years. It’s a great truck. Sound mechanically, bulletproof drivetrain with the rare and highly coveted 6-speed manual transmission. Moreover, I haven’t driven it much in the past couple years (since I no longer have anything to tow) so it has low miles for a 2001. This is a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 HO quadcab, 8-ft longbed, 6-speed manual, 4x4. It has been mildly modified to enhance towing and efficiency with F1 Diesel Mach 1.5 injectors (80 hp) and Edge Comp box. Never dyno tested but it pulls strong. It has a Fuel Boss mechanical lift pump (from Glacier diesel) and a Southbend Con-OFE clutch (good for up to 450 hp). On the exterior, the front has a 2” leveler kit on it, steering box brace, rhino-lined bed (color matching), airbags in the rear, and attachment points and wiring for a cabover camper. It rides on fairly new Toyo 305/70R16 Open Country MT tires (load range E) and 16” Mickey Thompson Classic II wheels. All in all, a very classy and tough looking truck. This truck has been meticulously maintained and babied over the decade I have owned it. I run nothing but Amsoil and change the fluids every 3-4K miles. I change the fuel filter every other oil change. For a 2001, it is in great condition with some normal tear and wear and the typical issues like the dash crack that nearly every one of these trucks seems to now have. It has a few scratches here and there but the body is straight, no accidents and the paint is still shiny and looks good. As for current issues, the A/C does not blow cold air. I was moving at the time so didn’t have time to troubleshoot it. Was planning on tracking it down this summer. It also recently threw a camshaft position sensor code. After clearing it hasn’t recurred. I have had no other issues with this truck. It is very reliable and is ready to drive home title in hand. This truck is being sold "as-is" with no warranty express or implied.
