I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am neither a mechanic nor do I have an on site service facility. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge, ability and means. Please take the time to read this entire description. We sell every vehicle "as-traded". Each description is unique and contains information specific to each unit that a buyer needs to know. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2005 Jaguar S-Type R. Let me start by introducing this amazing vehicle for those who aren't familiar. The S-Type R was conceived based on the success of the XJR and was a direct shot at the BMW M5, the Audi S6 and the Mercedes-Benz E55. Having personally owned at least one of each of those in my life, I can personally attest to the great job Jaguar did. Each of these great vehicles has a slightly different flavor so it becomes a question of personal style. The Jaguar offers a level of class that is unmatched by its rivals. The exterior lines speak for themselves and denote the understated nature of this vehicle. The interior is very well appointed and is a great drivers car. The 4.2L Supercharged V8 sports an Eaton M112 supercharger and puts 420hp through the ZF six speed automatic transmission to achieve 0-60 in the mid 5's which is very quick. Production on the S-Type R was just over 8000 units over a span of 7 years worldwide which makes this a very, very rare car. I would rate the exterior of this 2005 S-Type R to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. There are 100 high quality photos of this vehicle below. After reading this description, please review each photos carefully. The Quartz Metallic finish shines like glass and there is no visible damage to the exterior of this Jaguar. Please remember that this is a used vehicle and will not be perfect. If you look hard enough, you'll probably find a few marks on the bumper or small chips here and there. However, you'd have to look pretty close. This S-Type could easily pass for a 50k mile car. The Type R's are visually distinguished from their lesser siblings most easily by the aggressive looking 18" alloy wheels and wide tires. More subtle is the monochromatic exterior, mesh grille insert, aggressive body moldings, rear lip spoiler and three small "R" badges on the exterior. The glass and lenses appear to be intact all around. The parking distance sensors are not damages and work properly. The tires show average tread all around. Again, please take the time to review each of the photos closely. I love driving this car. When you pull into a gas station, this car gets lots of looks. The true testament to the great job done by Jaguar is that most people just look because it commands a presence. They have no idea what they're looking at...but they still look. As the drivers door opens, you are pleasantly reminded that you own a Jaguar. One can't help but notice the craftsmanship and the attention to detail as it contrasts brilliantly against the Quartz exterior. The stitched door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well throughout the interior of this sedan. The stitched dash and console show well. The headliner is clean and tight. The deeply bolstered leather seats wear the "R" logo and are in great condition. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The wood veneers show well throughout the cabin of this Jaguar. All systems appear to be working properly. All accessories work properly. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The sound system is the original Alpine Premium Sound which works properly and sounds great. Controls are accessed through the original touch screen which works properly. There is a single CD up front as well as a changer in the trunk. This S-Type R is optioned with factory GPS Navigation which is also accessed through the touch screen. This Jaguar comes with two keys (one remote) and the original manuals. The trunk is spacious, clean and comes with the original spare and tools. Mechanically, this Jag appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.2L Supercharged V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. I've personally driven this Jaguar 500 trouble free miles and counting. It has been my weekend car for a few weeks now. In my time driving this S-Type, I have been very impressed. There are no warning lights on. The engine pulls smoothly and keeps proper temperature at all times. The suspension feels tight and handling is excellent. The steering feels neutral and responsive. The massive brakes bring this sedan to a stop in a hurry and show no issues. Around town, this Jaguar is very docile. The ride is firm but not bouncy. She is perfectly adaptable to running errands around town and does not get annoying like other performance sedans. However, this cat wakes up quickly when you ask it to. The ZF close ratio six speed automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. This transmission handles the power well and is a perfect match for this engine. Out on the highway, you are again reminded that you still own a Jaguar. This car is equally at home cruising in comfort as it is carving corners. There is a very slight vibration in the wheel at highway speeds. If this were any other car, I would not even mention it but I'm trying to be picky. This S-Type R is king of the merge lane and an absolute predator anywhere you drive it. My favorite thing is that you can drive in complete anonymity until it's time to wake the beast. Against my better judgement, I am offering this car with NO RESERVE as I do with much lesser cars. If you win this auction, come to pick this Jaguar up and don't like it...keep your money. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am neither a mechanic nor do I have an on site service facility. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge, ability and means. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2005 Jaguar S-Type R. Let me start by introducing this amazing vehicle for those who aren't familiar. The S-Type R was conceived based on the success of the XJR and was a direct shot at the BMW M5, the Audi S6 and the Mercedes-Benz E55. Having personally owned at least one of each of those in my life, I can personally attest to the great job Jaguar did. Each of these great vehicles has a slightly different flavor so it becomes a question of personal style. The Jaguar offers a level of class that is unmatched by its rivals. The exterior lines speak for themselves and denote the understated nature of this vehicle. The interior is very well appointed and is a great drivers car. The 4.2L Supercharged V8 sports an Eaton M112 supercharger and puts 420hp through the ZF six speed automatic transmission to achieve 0-60 in the mid 5's which is very quick. Production on the S-Type R was just over 8000 units over a span of 7 years worldwide which makes this a very, very rare car.
I would rate the exterior of this 2005 S-Type R to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. There are 100 high quality photos of this vehicle below. After reading this description, please review each photos carefully. The Quartz Metallic finish shines like glass and there is no visible damage to the exterior of this Jaguar. Please remember that this is a used vehicle and will not be perfect. If you look hard enough, you'll probably find a few marks on the bumper or small chips here and there. However, you'd have to look pretty close. This S-Type could easily pass for a 50k mile car. The Type R's are visually distinguished from their lesser siblings most easily by the aggressive looking 18" alloy wheels and wide tires. More subtle is the monochromatic exterior, mesh grille insert, aggressive body moldings, rear lip spoiler and three small "R" badges on the exterior. The glass and lenses appear to be intact all around. The parking distance sensors are not damages and work properly. The tires show average tread all around. Again, please take the time to review each of the photos closely. I love driving this car. When you pull into a gas station, this car gets lots of looks. The true testament to the great job done by Jaguar is that most people just look because it commands a presence. They have no idea what they're looking at...but they still look.
As the drivers door opens, you are pleasantly reminded that you own a Jaguar. One can't help but notice the craftsmanship and the attention to detail as it contrasts brilliantly against the Quartz exterior. The stitched door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well throughout the interior of this sedan. The stitched dash and console show well. The headliner is clean and tight. The deeply bolstered leather seats wear the "R" logo and are in great condition. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The wood veneers show well throughout the cabin of this Jaguar. All systems appear to be working properly. All accessories work properly. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The sound system is the original Alpine Premium Sound which works properly and sounds great. Controls are accessed through the original touch screen which works properly. There is a single CD up front as well as a changer in the trunk. This S-Type R is optioned with factory GPS Navigation which is also accessed through the touch screen. This Jaguar comes with two keys (one remote) and the original manuals. The trunk is spacious, clean and comes with the original spare and tools.
Mechanically, this Jag appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.2L Supercharged V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. I've personally driven this Jaguar 500 trouble free miles and counting. It has been my weekend car for a few weeks now. In my time driving this S-Type, I have been very impressed. There are no warning lights on. The engine pulls smoothly and keeps proper temperature at all times. The suspension feels tight and handling is excellent. The steering feels neutral and responsive. The massive brakes bring this sedan to a stop in a hurry and show no issues. Around town, this Jaguar is very docile. The ride is firm but not bouncy. She is perfectly adaptable to running errands around town and does not get annoying like other performance sedans. However, this cat wakes up quickly when you ask it to. The ZF close ratio six speed automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. This transmission handles the power well and is a perfect match for this engine. Out on the highway, you are again reminded that you still own a Jaguar. This car is equally at home cruising in comfort as it is carving corners. There is a very slight vibration in the wheel at highway speeds. If this were any other car, I would not even mention it but I'm trying to be picky. This S-Type R is king of the merge lane and an absolute predator anywhere you drive it. My favorite thing is that you can drive in complete anonymity until it's time to wake the beast. Against my better judgement, I am offering this car with NO RESERVE as I do with much lesser cars. If you win this auction, come to pick this Jaguar up and don't like it...keep your money. All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without specific arrangements and exception being made will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
We take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they have read and agree to our entire terms & conditions as well as eBay's terms & conditions. Additionally, each bidder enters into a binding contract to purchase the item they are bidding on should they be the successful bidder. By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they understand the risks of purchasing a used vehicle and have fully excercized their ability to complete any diligence needed prior to placing their bid. Please understand that each vehicle we sell is being sold exactly as it was traded, unless otherwise noted in the written description. The written description we provide is based soley on our observations of the vehicle during our road test and should not be taken as any kind of official mechanical inspection done by a certified inspection mechanic. We offer a unique way of purchasing a car but it does carry additional risk to the buyer when compared to buying a vehicle from a retail dealership that has been inspected and may carry a warranty. Please consider this when you decide if buying from us is something you feel comfortable with. We try to eliminate as much risk as possible for our buyers but cannot offer reconditioned, inspected vehicles for sale with NO RESERVE PRICE. We are happy to answer any questions from prospective buyers regarding our business or specific vehicles listed for sale and aim to make buying from us as trouble free as possible.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 administrative fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any transfer costs incurred by the purchaser. The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are unable to complete any tag or title work, including temp tags, in-house, nor do we collect any sales tax or registration fees. There are Tag & Title locations nearby that can handle those tranactions. We will assist you in that process.
This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle. All vehicles are sold as-is unless otherwise specified. I have done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->
