the description of the scout as it was listed when i bought it.......i will continue with my own description after this one...... Unmolested Scout with 79,000 miles on it. Bought out west about 15 years ago. Used to plow used car lot for about ten years, then used only in summer for last five years. It had a repaint 15 years ago and is bubbling in spots and showing it's age. From 50 feet away it looks like new. The interior is original and not hacked up or worn out. The glass is all good and clear. The drivetrain is all original. V8 auto ps pb and air conditioning. The brakes are all new at a cost of $1500. The tires are all new. Original hubcaps are still on it. The top is removable and is taken off every year for the summer. The plow is a western power angle that operates great. The plow has wings that are currently removed for storage. The plow would cost $2500 alone to replace. The plow would also fit a CJ or a Wrangler if you wanted to buy the Scout and remove the plow for your Jeep. This would be a great personal plow vehicle for your hobby farm or estate with a long driveway. It is way to nice to beat it up using it commercially. that was the previous owners description which was very accurate. i think the value he put on the plow was a little "lofty". it is truly a very, very nice plow set up though. very quick to attach and detach. i purchased this scout with intentions of using it as a driver. i renewed or replaced everything it needed as i will list below. i have receipts for all the repairs. it is a perfect driving scout with an automatic and the bulletproof 345 v-8. it has very slight body issues as described above and documented in the pictures. just bubbling mostly behind the driver door and a little around the top. i took pictures of all 4 wheel wells and both rocker panels. i would replace the driver rocker and dogleg behind it on the driver rear quarter but the pass. side is perfect and not in need of anything. this is a very, very nice scout with the interior being as perfect and original as i have ever seen! headliner, seats, carpet, dash, everything is very , very nice and unmolested. 4x4 works perfectly and dash indicator light comes on when engaged. i replaced the odometer so i could get the dashlights and blinker lights working but still have the original with the actual miles showing. you will not be dissapointed with this vehicle at all. i am only selling because i cannot keep up with this scout and the other two IH vehicles i own. i am a BIG IH enthusiast and hate to see it go but my 68 travelall and 67 scout sport top need finishing touches to their restorations and the money has to come from somewhere. if you have any questions at all please feel free to ask them. i am the manager of a car dealership so the vehicle is in our inventory and will include a free and clear title. taxes and title for your state will have to be collected, plate is up to you whether you want to plate it right away or not. bid to own as this is going to sell. items i fixed or replaced as follows: RADIATOR- $200 USED CARB- $100 CARB REBUILD-$ 120 NEW MANIFOLDS BOTH SIDES- $400 WHEEL BEARING DRIVER REAR, NEW PWR STEERING PUMP, TRANS FLUSH , BRAKE FLUSH, OIL PRESSURE SENDER, NEW REAR SHOCKS, NEW COOLANT, INNER BEARING , OUTER SEAL- $1,163.00 NEW TIRES, BRAKE PADS/DISC/DRUM/WHEEL CYLINDERS/LINES NEW TRANS COOLER LINES AS YOU CAN SEE LOTS OF MONEY WENT INTO THIS BUT IT IS NOW READY FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT!
