This auction is for a 1989 GMC Siera 1500 4x4 CRUISE CONTROL DOES NOT WORK. I bought this truck from a buddy. He bought in 1998 from a local dealership. ELHart GMC of Holland. There they had put in a used 5.7 and brand new truck bed. I know the tranny was rebuilt about 70k ago and that still works good. (70k is a guess because the odometer stopped working at 162000 miles.) The 5.7 is a great runner and starts every time but it has a issue.. My buddy was pulling his trailer and I think it needs a valve job and some head work because it burns through oil. about a quart every 500 miles or so .I drove it every day until 2 years ago and have not driven it other than around the yard since. I know it needs a front end alignment at the least. I would not recommend driving it home until you have it gone through. Right now it is a great wood hauler at best With the availability of parts and how inexpensive as they are. I was going to replace the fenders and cab corners. And do a valve job. Or find a good running none oil burning used motor. Or have this one rebuilt. Like I said this motor is a runner! 6 months can go by and it will start right up Bang first try . The box has a little crinkle in the back as you can see in the pics but other than that its solid. This was a great running working 4x4 pickup! It does not do a vehicle well to just sit.
