Up for auction is my very clean MR2. I am the 3rd owner and the original and 2nd owner were both adult ladies. The car was sold new in Raleigh NC and owned for 4 yrs by the original owner. The 2nd owner had it for 16 yrs in Hickory NC and was very meticulous in the maintenance of this car. As you can see by the pictures the car is well looked after now by me. Somewhere along the way during the 2nd ownership she had a very minor accident and had the car resprayed. When I bought the car the clear coat was peeling on the roof, rear engine cover, and mirrors. That was really the only thing amiss on the car. I am 59 yrs old and have owned Porsches, BMW's, GTI's, and always had the Deuce Coupe on my list of cars to own and began my search for one 3 yrs ago. I literally searched the entire country for a decent example with no surprises. Only one color would suffice for me to own The Poor Mans Ferrari and that of course is Red. I am an outside sales agent and happened to be working in Hickory one day and there she was in person sitting in the ladies yard 1 hr away from my house. The reason she was selling it was because she did not want her 16 yr old daughter to drive the car. WE made a deal and I drove the car home the next day. My best friend is a certified technician and we had agreed if I ever located the right car he would help me do the things we had discussed after hours in my garage. Rust free North Carolina car since NEW. I will now list the maintenane that was performed on the car before my ownership. April 2011 New Water Pump, Timing Belt, W/P and Idlers, Valve cover gasket, Cam Seal, Crank Seal, Thermostat, Oil Pump Seal, Oil Pump O-Ring, Thermister, Rad,Toy, Freon, Fan Thermostatic Switch, A/C Performance Test, and A/C Charge. August 2005 Bracket S/A, Fuel, Suction Filter, Fuel Pump, Pump Assembly, New Fuel Tank, and Fuel Filter I think I have every record on the car back to new in a binder, and what I listed is just the most recent and really BIG things she had done to the car. I will now list what I have done to the car during my ownership. UNDERSTAND I have ALL original equipment that we removed from the car including the original 14 inch tires and wheels. By the way the original wheels are like new. Okay here we go: Cold Air Intake, Long Tube Headers, TRD Short Throw Shifter, Seats Roll and Pleated in Tan along with door panels, Tan Goodyear Floor Mats and Rear Cargo Mats, Center Storage Compartment located refurbished and installed (only available on Turbos from the factory), Windows Tinted, JVC Double Din Bluetooth installed, 17 in Falken Tires installed with 205's upfront and 225's on the rear, New Drag Wheels ordered and installed from California with the proper stagger, Roof, Mirrors, Engine Lid and side panels resprayed and blended in by the best body shop in my area. We also went over all metal in the engine compartment with steel wool and had a brand new Toyota Valve Cover Decal made by a local graphic shop and installed. You won't find many engines this clean and detailed in fact you will not find many MR2's this clean and well thought out and put together. Bid with confidence you will not be disappointed and this car is about as close to new as you will ever find for a 22yr old car with Toyota Reliability. If you do not have a positive feedback score on ebay do not bid on my car as I will cancel your bid immediately. My car is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.
