Vehicle Detail

How about another Superb Silver V70 "base" Wagon?? It's actually amazing how Volvo called these a "base" model, yet it's loaded up with leather, sunroof, airbags galore, heated seats, power everything, etc. The ONLY thing "base" about this car will be your insurance premium! The exterior is a little dingged up. The most obvious is the crinkle above the grill and the light dent on the left fender, which most likely can be popped out. The exterior is on the lower side of a 7 out of 10. Honestly, outside the to above mentioned items and the rear items (see below pics) the rest of the body is amazingly ding free! I think I counted 2 tiny dings? Even the front bumper cover looks nice, considering it has a bit of paint flake. The hood looks nice except a couple small scratches, that could easily be wetsanded and buffed out if desired. The roof has seen better days. Altho it's very shiny, it has light dings, NOT from hail, but as if someone piled stuff on top of it as if parked in a garage for storage. Can really only notice it if the light catches it right. As stated, both sides look great with about 2 dings to be found. Tires are Goodyears with plenty of tread life left, 60-70%. All are on minimally damaged rims and are vibration free at all speeds. I'm currently driving the car now and have put on over 100 miles to ensure it's reliability. The only thing this car desparately needed was a heater core. Easy to install and I've installed a NEW one for you! The factory Volvo units were built with a flaw. The glue would get weak and leaks would start. Nearly every 70 series and 850 will eventually suffer from it. The new one I installed is a better design and will NEVER leak again. The rear bumper cover has seen WAY better days. At least the prior owner kept up on the touchups it needed. Easily repainted if needed. No holes or cracks. Just parking nicks and bruises. The hatch has a couple dings that were also touched up. Still looks nice at least. If you stare at the roof below, you may notice a little ripple in the paint. This car is a pure driver now. NO RESERVE, remember?? A keen eye would have noticed the trailer hitch in the above pics. Wiring is also included in the spare tire storage. No, the transmission isn't funky or slipping. In fact, the fluid is clean and it shifts perfectly in every gear as it should. I'd say the hitch was barely, if ever used. The only eyesore on the front bumper is the typical lower parking block scrapes with a mild cut on the lower left corner. Interior is super nice for a 7.5 out of 10 interior. I hate smoke and can't see or smell any signs of it. Altho clean enough to eat off the floor, I pull points from the seam on the driver's bolster splitting, a seam on the right rear passenger seat splitting (from a booster seat) and a few cuts on the backs of the seat from kid's feet over it's lifetime. Nothing major, but there and really only noticable when I stop and point them out to you. Steering wheel looks great. EVERYTHING power works from what I can tell, HOT HEAT, climate control(AC will need a recharge come spring), rear wiper, cruise (altho unchecked I expect it to work), AM/FM/CD radio, power windows, locks, heated mirrors, power driver's seat, heated seats seem to work, sunroof works, etc. One of the many pictures I enjoy showing off...that frankly...hardly any seller on Ebay does....show you a pic of the dash while running and before start. As you can see, ALL the dummy lights illuminate upon startup with NONE on during run. Don't let the mileage scare you, even tho the car has seen better dasy visually, there's a REASON why it's made it to this point. Proper servicing. No problems. No worries. Included is the full factory set of floormats. Unseen is the complete and intact spare setup. Another keen eye will notice the doorpanels don't have the typical vinyl seperation as most 70 series version do. Nice. Above: all the factory manuals seem to be in order. Only One Key and One Keypad are included. Finally my favorite portion of this car: the super clean engine compartment. DO NOT get this confused with "greasy shined up to cover up the reality", engine compartment of other sellers. I like clean and kept. I think it's obvious that the exterior's glory days are long gone. But this is where a high miler shines, the mechanicals. Absolutely no signs of any major oil or coolant leaks. BRAND NEW Interstate battery. Clean air filter. All fluids are clean. Hard to see below (more Volvo service history proof) but the timing belt tag shows replacement at 118k and yours truly also inspected it. That puts about 40k LEFT on this belt before it needs changing. Car starts with the strong new battery. Runs perfectly and smoothly. Non-turbo is still powerful. Transmission shifts effortlessly. Suspension is tight and noise free. No vibrations at any speeds. No unusual pulling or wandering on any pavements. No clunks or squeaks. Brakes are recent and super strong with no pulsing or grinding. BID, BUY, and DRIVE ANYWHERE with 100% CONFIDENCE! Inspect my excellent feedbacks. No worries. NO RESERVE!!! Good Luck! I apologize in advance if I sound like I'm scolding....but this NEEDS to be said. This vehicle is AS-IS/AS-SHOWN. The vehicle is in Illinois being sold by a dealer. There are many great affordable aftermarket warranty companies out there that will warranty nearly anything. Use them. WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE for your individual state's INSPECTION or EMISSIONS compliance. I am simply trying to offer you and possibly your family a quality reliable vehicle. Like most Americans, I still can't afford a new car. I regularly sell $3000-$6000 vehicles. Mostly what I would personally drive or own. I don't know if you are buying in my state or in Virginia or California...so I HAVE to make our cars ready for the road trip. I don't know who will be driving the car. So I MUST make it ready for your teen or your job in the morning. I can only promise I do the BEST that I can with what I have and what I sell. My EXCELLENT FEEDBACKS prove it. I'm not here to rip people off. I'm also here to help so feel free to contact me after purchase for anything. Even if you have any questions about a future purchase. Also, understand that I spend many countless hours (inspecting, repairing, cleaning, taking pics and writing specific personal ads) for everything I sell...not to mention the $125 sell fee that is charged to me at the end. Please don't jack around if you don't plan to go thru with the purchase. Thanks for your understanding. Now you're at the bottom. Hopefully I've covered the main specifics of the vehicle and eased your mind. I understand that you are putting yourself or your loved ones in this vehicle. I personally have put my own mother in an 01 C70 with 185k miles(which I just roadtripped 1500miles) and I personally drove a 98 S70 with 220k miles(which I just sold)! Many of my personal friends drive cars that I have sold them. My best friend is on his 5th from me. I treat you no different. If I haven't covered any of your questions or concerns, please feel free to email or call me at 815.744.7223. My name is Eric. Also, understand that I have the right to end the auction early due to local sale. I STILL REQUIRE a $500 deposit to be made within 24hours. Use Paypal for the deposit please. Of course I understand each bidder/buyer has different payment needs (like using Bill Me Later or Credit Cards) and I will assist when possible. There are about 8 other states that I (unfortunately) have to collect tax....but it's usually at a discount vs. regular in state. Vehicle is sold AS-IS/AS-SHOWN with no warranty expressed or implied. Please follow deposit and payment instructions posted. Cash in person is preferred payment. After full payment is made, you will receive vehicle (as shown/stated in this ad), title, associated paperwork and key(s). Please email or call regarding out of state pickup at local train station (Union Station-Joliet, IL) or closest airport (Midway-Chicago-MDW). I will happily assist in pickup for a fee to cover my time and fuel costs. On Jan-14-13 at 21:03:46 PST, seller added the following information: ******UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE ****** Just wanted to update the couple things I was unsure of above in the details and things I forgot to mention. The cruise DOES work perfectly. Seats heat up nice and hot, even thru my thick layers, while driving. The car sports TRACtion control and also the nice INFO panel which keep track of mileage and on the fly MPG, etc. Basically it's a GLT without the turbo and driving lights. CHEAP INSURANCE for the teen drivers! GOOD LUCK!
