Beautiful semi restored Beetle. Only 74,000 original miles. Original inside paint. New paint outside and in the trunk area. You can see by the dash that the color was matched perfectly to the new outside paint. When painted all the rubber for windows, doors, etc. we changed to new. All glass even the windshield is original VW from new. The pop out rear side windows are authentic German with the VW logo. The owner realized we had access to the original German seat material which is one year only. He had the seats redone here at WCCR just this week. Some accessories include the original tool bag, rear pop out windows, tissue despenser, original license plate frames from the dealer it was purchased in Sunnyvale California. Black plates show it's been here since new. Most VW's on Ebay have the cheap aftermarket upholstery. This one has the original German material it had when new.. This car is amazing. I've been restoring and selling VW's for the last 28 years and they don't come any better than this car.. The car has always been garaged for the past 49 years with no rust or rot anywhere on the car. The undercarriage and pan are in perfect condition. The car has German VW sheet metal (hood, fenders, doors, etc.), and has never been in an accident front or rear. All panels are perfect and straight. Only factory German parts used when any repairs were needed by the original owner. The car maintains all original VW stamped glass including the windshield (rare) and pop-out rear windows.. It also maintains its original 6 volt wiring that is in very nice condition with no electrical issues. License plate and dealer frame are original to the car. Additional features: 40 hp. engine with original VW German case, crank, cam and heads. Top end of the engine was rebuilt 400 miles ago with NOS 40hp NPR pistons and cylinders (from the 70s). Three angle valve job performed by Clyde Berg. New SACHS 180mm clutch and throw-out bearing installed. Original Solex carb and distributor were completely rebuilt and the entire engine brought to VW factory spec's as it was when it was new. Engine runs smooth and like a top. Original VW transmission to the car with new German axle boots installed. Shifts perfect. Original EMPI camber compensator installed for the best handling. NOS factory 1964 steering wheel installed. Note: this is not a refurbished steering wheel' Car has all the original rims (including the spare and correct German hubcaps) Original Bahama Blue paint in the intrior of the car- very nice condition and well maintained. New brakes and shoes and wheel bearings installed. VERY RARE NOS seat covers( that are a one year only ) made and installed at West Coast Classic.
