I am listing this for my neighbor, she inherited this 6.9 Benz from her father a year and a half ago, this car has been sitting in the driveway ever since. I am going to try to describe this best possible as you can see by the price it is going to be a deal, no reserve!!!! Yes it has issues please see what I have listed bellow, I only looked at it quickly. Please see my feedback, I will give you the best I can on the car. If you are not going to give me 100% positive feedback please do not bid. This is my first car and it is not mine. First off checkout what a 6.9 Mercedes Benz is at, AMG before there was AMG. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_450SEL_6.9 There are several articles on the web. These cars were bought by the 1% er's of the world. OK, Here is what I know. 131K plus miles. My neighbor drove the car here when she got it from a town near Lake Tahoe. The 6.9 was registered and passed California smog 2 years ago. It was registered until around 3 weeks ago. I think the tires have around 5K miles on them there is a receipt. for that. Not much other paper work. The inside of the car has not been cleaned since it got here. No detailing anywhere. The car does not seem to smoke at all. At start up or after warm up running it through the rev's. The dash has some cracks. Some of the gauges don't power up. Stereo has no power. Blinkers have no power. This could all be the same power problem? I don't know? Flashers work. Dome light lit. Wipers wiped. The air conditioning came on seemed cold and the heat seemed hot. The sun roof opened and closed. The windows go up and down. The switch for the right side does need to be replaced. It looks to me like the left side window switch was replaced in the 1990's. It appears that the owners books etc. are there, not sure if everything because I do not know what everything is. Glass seems to be good. The car has been repainted and that paint is coming off. The door gaps, hood & trunk look great to me. The sides of the car looks straight to me as does the roof, hood & trunk. I see no rust? It does get wet inside from what I am not sure as I have not looked? Sunroof seal? Gas filler door water drain? Seems to be on the right rear floor? No signs of rust there that I have noticed? Again I have not noticed any rust in the trunk or under the hood. I am a bit disabled and have not crawled under the car or put it on a lift. If it is like the floors and trunk plus the body is really straight, I bet it is fine. The interior, seats, I have not noticed any tares. There is dye wear. The drivers seat sinks low when you sit in it. After rinsing the car off, I did smoke tie rear tire all the way up the street. This is one awesome Benz. A little TLC by the right car guy or gal? I hate to say an excellent donor car because it is all here, a great start to one of Mercedes Benz's first super cars. Look this 6.9 up on the web. I will need a $500.00 non refundable PayPal deposit in 24 hours of the end of the auction and a bank wire transfer into my neighbors bank account or cash in person at pick up in three days.
