here i am selling my 1948 2 door chevrolet fleetmaster coupe i bought this car last year and drove it every day. the work that was done when i bought it was it has a nova front sub with a chevy 327 alumunme intake with a 600 holley that l was told by the owner that the motor and the 350 transmission was gone through as the motor runs supper and the tranny shifts great it also has a 1955 belair posi 308 rear end it has a custom interior with driver being power as the driver side seat has some ripe's in it i added a 2 1/2 pipes with flow master and a 4 in tail pipe.the brakes also are new with new master cylinder and lines it also has a tilt coulumn every thing works on this car all but the speedo which the cable broke when i was driving it the e-brake don't work and the fuel gauge don't work it has somthing to do with the groud wire that i have not had the time to check. other than the three items that don't work every thing else works from the horn to the lighter. i work at a body shop for a living and i do my owen cars here at my house as i started doing some work on it already and was going to repaint it black again as you can see from some of the pic as well as befor i started. this car go's down the road very nice as i drove this car in 100 degree temp and the temp gauge did'nt go any higher than 195 and that was only to stopping at the long light.i bought other parts to put back on this car as it did'nt have. such as the belt line moldings nos chrome head light bezels nos hood mount i even found the right seats to put back in but need to be redone i also bought a set of new tail light with the blue dots and new fender welt for the rear fenders and a spot light and a new lokar floor shifter and a new set of chrome shorty headers all that need to be put on.the only reason i as selling this 48 chevy is my daughter is getting married and i have to pay for this to happen or i would'nt be selling it this is not a trailer queen and i feel this is'nt far off for me to finish as i have added a couple of pic of my last car during and after.i will still be working on the back part and i will have it in primer i will be selling this car as is with no warranties. it is up to the buyer to pick up the car and pay his owen shipping co.and a 1,000.00 a non refundable deposit must be made with in 48 hours of ended bidding. i have a clear north carolina title as this car came from north carolina any Q's please ask and i will try to answer them the best i can. the floors seem to be solid as there is some light rust on the bottom of the doors that are very fixable there are no dents just look at the pic as you will see what the car looked like befor i started as i started on the back part of the quarters. when this was done i was going to call it the boot legger lol,lol. On Jan-09-13 at 17:25:16 PST, seller added the following information: i have just loaded several more pic the quarter panels had some paint peeling as you can see in some of the other pic.i did 1 oof the lower doors as well as the lower rear trunk i took a pic of the drivers lower door as it to has some rust.when i had the car up on jack stands and looked under the car i did noticed it had some other rust as well on the inner rockers ( both sides) as well as the floor braces as i did not know this as these inner rockers and the braces on listed there on ebay for 281.00 per side the item # is 290576278297. i also just bought a trunk seal for the trunk and that item # is 290787503156. i just want to be up front with what i found. it's like a women you never know whats under the skirt till you look under it.lol,lol. again the items i have that will go with this car are as follow. 1 nos chrome head light bezels, 1 pair of nos trunk hinge, 1 nos hood emblem, and 1 nice used front hood emblem with the bow tie.also theres enough rear fender welt for both rear fenders as the welts don't go back on till the car is painted, 1 lokar floor shifter that will have to be put in.as this car also has a tilt coulmn with the coulmn shift, 1 pair of front and back seats that i took out of another 47 chevy 2 door they need to be redone as the front seats still have the tracks. i have bolted the rear fender back on as well as the rear bumper. upon starting the body work on this car as the black was not the factory color as burgundy was as this had to have been painted black back in the 80 maybe late 70's. also the only reason i am selling this car is to pay for my daughters wedding. i have alot of money in this car and if you had to take this to a body shop to have done just what i have done to this car so far it would be at lease 2 to 3000. as this car is a great car for some one to get in and drive and fix at the same time. all the hard work is done nova front sub small block 327 with a 350 auto and a 1955 posi rear end. also there are all 5 rims 4 that are on the car and the 5th being a spare in the trunk.
