Being offered is a super sharp and original 1978 Volvo 242GT with only 96K original miles. This is a very sharp and rare original car with a super nice rust-free body that has spent its life in North Carolina. We specialize in vintage Volvo restorations and purchased this car several years ago. A recent strip to bare metal and a repaint in the original Volvo silver in basecoat/clearcoat was just performed on this wonderfully straight and solid car. A new GT stripe kit was installed as well as a new fuel pump. With the exception of being cold natured this car runs and drives very nice without any noises, smoke, etc. which should be expected of a Volvo with only 96K miles. This car really needs driving as it has not been regularly driven in several years as evidenced by the mileage. All of the original GT options are intact including a very nice original corduroy interior, 14" alloy wheels, 4 speed with overdrive, tachometer, spare tire with inflation cartridge, jack, tools, books and records. You will be hard pressed to find a sharper original 242GT available. These rare cars will to continue to become more collectible and make an excellent investment for years to come.
