Vehicle Detail
1957 Model 190 originally from California, no rust. Bench fron seat and aftermarket air conditioning. The car runs and drives well. Engine is strong and quiet and does not smoke. Recent work (2011): New rear muffler, new rear shocks, new reat trailing arm bushings, new battery, shifter bushing in steering column, new brake hoses, charged air conditioner. Last summer I installed new front brakes but it still needs a master cylinder. Tires (Pirelli) have about 90% tread but are old. Air was very cold when charged but by the end of the 2nd summer it was only cool and will need a recharge. The car is a 20 footer, the paint is old but the car is rust free, the worst spot is the rear drivers door jam where the paint is cracking, see photo. Engine runs well, no smoke, good and even compression on all 4 cylinders. Aftermarket carb, starts instantly in all weather. Heater boxes were removed and discarded by a previous owner. Summer only car for us so I did not trouble over it. I can include a pair of heater cores if you need them. The exhaust pipe before the muffler has a hole but it is still pretty quiet, hard to hear it running at idle. Car had been switched to an alternator and I do not think it is working well. When I drove it daily in the summer I would charge the battery once a week jus to be sure although it never llet me down. Car is a fun and reliable driver. Clutch works well, shifts like butter. No reserve, good luck bidding.
