Vehicle Detail
Up for Auction is a RARE running and driving 1957 Buick Roadmaster model 76-A (Riviera Hardtop Coupe), with only 2,812 built in this year. This is a true original FULLY DOCUMENTED "barn find" vehicle. The car has 76,860 Miles on it, documented! It comes with the original bill of sale, every service record, the dealership placard that was on the trunk lid, registration renewals, you name it and the car comes with it! It has the 364 Cubic inch 300hp Nailhead V-8 with a dyna-flow transmission. The car also has factory padded dash (not cracked!), power windows, power seat, power brakes, power steering, 4 barrel Rochester carburetor, oil filter, washer squirters, dealer added, Rubbermaid under the dash trash can, floor mats, undercoating, accessory interior fan and passenger vanity mirror. It also has the optional dual exhaust. Everything works on this car minus the Driver's low beam headlight, the clock even works! The passenger headlight is an original T-3 and works on high and low beam. There is minor surface rust on this car. Absolutely no rot, bondo, or repaint whatsoever. This is the factory paint , the passenger door and passenger front fender both have dents that have been straightened, but have not been painted or filled in (see pictures). The rest of this car is straight and ready for fresh paint or keep it for its originality and patina! It can only be original once! The carburetor and fuel pump were just rebuilt. It runs very smooth and quiet as it should. The tires were bought in 1987, Coker Classic bias-ply, they have less than 200 miles on them, documented! The car sat on blocks for ten years and they do not show signs of dry rot! One piece of trim is damaged on this car, the passenger door trim. Other than that the trim on this car is beautiful. The chrome bumpers show pitting but are all there. The glass on this car is immaculate minus the driver's door, see picture. The glass is not de-laminating or discolored at all. The floors, body and frame show zero ROT! The water pump has been leaking for some time, so there is no coolant in the car currently. The gas tank on this car needs to be cleaned and sealed, for now there is a temporary jug under the hood to move the car around. The left rear brake line has been replaced and the brakes have been bled. The right front brake is not working correctly, with that said, the car is not road worthy. All four wheel cylinders will be included with the sale of the car. With some minor repairs, this would make a great cruiser the way it is. The headliner is in great condition, as well as the dashboard and gauges. The interior needs carpets, and seat covers, the door panels are bowed but are all there. This car could be used as a cruiser or restored. If it were to be restored, it would not need much body work nor would it need any rust repair whatsoever. This is a true time capsule and a great piece of history! Good luck bidding! Please bid what you think it is worth, the reserve is what it is worth so please do not ask what it is. These questions will not be entertained. A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required within 24 hours of the end of the sale. Please contact before bidding if you are over-seas or have less then 10 feedbacks. There is NO warranty implied or expressed whatsoever. Shipping is to be arranged and paid for by the buyer. On Jan-02-13 at 15:43:38 PST, seller added the following information: The carburetor is the factory 4 barrel Carter, I accidentally wrote Rochester, Sorry!
