Vehicle Detail
Fairly rare 59 New Yorker 4drht. this means no posts with the windows down! nicely optioned with POWER: steering, brakes, windows, seat. everything works from what i've seen, haven't street driven it, however purchased it about 4 years ago from a friend/fellow forwardlook club member as a replacement for my 59 fury daily driver.. but based on the fact i have a collection of 45 vintage autos and only 9000 sqft of garage space to house restored cars in, this "extra" can afford to go... the eyebrows are amazingly solid- usually the first thing to go- especially on 57-59 mopars... the rest of the body is respectable. JUST LOOK AT ALL THE PHOTOS- THEY SHOULD ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS AS I'm INCLUDING ALOT!!!!! chrome is nice survivor, mileage appears to be accurate- based on long storage duration that i was told about [over 25 yrs] and lack of wear on interior panels and pedals. Rebuilt torqueflite- i had paperwork and receipts from AAMCO when i got the car- i should still have them and will include that for future records to new owner if/when i locate them. just a few miles were put on after rebuild. TIRES also have next to no mileage on them, the little rubber whiskers are still evident on the treads, though tires are getting dry. doesnt look like they have flat spots from sitting as it is moved rather regularly. starts and runs fine. intermittent valve tap should go away with use and an oil change and maybe some marvel. will need valve cover gaskets and brakes gone over. yard drives fine for storage. floors had some ameateur patchwork started. trunk has some rust. very little trim missing, one of the pseudo- vents on the stainless insert fell off but i have it along with other missing pieces. the notable missing piece is passenger rocker moulding. cooling system is good, charging system charges, gauges show charging, and good oil pressure. gas tank is good- holds fuel without leaks and is in service at the moment. INTERIOR: seats and door panels make a nice survivor appearance. neat circuit-board looking pattern on the inserts- look at the pics, base of driver seat is shredded a little. door panels nice. all power seat stuff is intact. POWER WINDOWS! swithces all there- the switches out of the car are worth $400-1000 to someone with a fury, letter car, or adventurer...drivers window works amazing, others slow/intermittent. has keys, starts off ignition.. no issues that way. again- LOOK AT PICS CLOSELY then ask questions if there's something you're curious about. PHOTO ABOVE IS WHILE RUNNING- ALL GAUGES WORK, temp takes about 10 min to start showing reading. its showing 1/4 tank of fuel, good oil pressure, and a slight charge since there's no accessiories running. in closing, ALL GLASS IS GOOD, no broken pieces, the trim badges are nice. and all missing parts that i have for it are packed in the trunk. there may be some misc or small items missing, haven't scrutinized it that closely, but its very complete considering, and my starting price is less than its worth cut up... ITS JUST TOO NICE OF A POTENTIAL DRIVER TO PART OUT! if you're capable, this will be on the road for under $1000 invested once you get it home, cosmetics aside. CAN DELIVER WITHIN 250 MILES OF SOUTHERN NJ for an equitable fee.
