Vehicle Detail

I inherited this 1956 Chevrolet 4 doorpost from my mother. I know very little about the car or these cars in general. It was restored at some point and sat in storage for a long time. My uncle (owns a NAPA store) rebuilt the carburetor to get it running although it could still usesome adjustment. It has the 265 V8 motor, ‘the hot one’,and a 2-speed powerglide automatic transmission. There is a new Flowmaster exhaust. The brakes are good and arestill standard. The tires are good. The interior was redone and is in goodoverall shape. Very little use so very little wear. The dash and steering wheelare excellent. The speaker boxes you see in the front footwells were installedwithout drilling any holes. The AC is out of a ‘70’s vintage vehicle and I donot know if it is charged. The body on the car is in very good condition and it comes with the Continental Kit. It is rust free because it is an Arizona car. VERY STRAIGHT! The paint is agood 8 footer with lots of shine. On Jan-01-13 at 17:13:22 PST, seller added the following information: Mileage is 82,000On Jan-05-13 at 19:43:03 PST, seller added the following information: The rear passenger window is cracked. The air cleaner is missing. The transmission dipstick is missing so there is now way to tell if it has the right amount of fluid in it. It runs but should not be driven far without knowing it has the right amount of transmission fluid. On Jan-06-13 at 21:02:37 PST, seller added the following information: Found another cracked window, drivers side window (see photographs) There are some drips from the transmission when it runs and I've attempted to document this as well. The drips on the carboard are from about 5 minutes of idling. Looking at the trans I don't know if it will have to be removed to be sealed or if it's just those side covers. Someone tried to fix it the classy way with RTV. The engine and rear end are dry. It still has the original cartridge style oil filter. The body looks clean with very little rust and no signs of body work. The engine starts right up and there is 40 psi oil pressure at idle. There is some blue smoke from the left bank exhaust.
