I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am neither a mechanic nor do I have an auto service facility. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description, read my terms & conditions and review each photo in detail as we sell each vehicle "as-traded" and there will be things in each description that you'll need to know. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a Ford Explorer XLT 4WD. I would rate the exterior of this vehicle to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this Explorer. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in black which shows well. For the most part, the finish on this truck shines like glass. There are a few small spots on the roof and a little on the hood where the paint shows minor oxidation which is common for Fords of this age. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find evidence of typical wear associated with a vehicle of this age. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. There is no noteworthy damage to report on the exterior of this truck. As with most older Explorers, there is some rust on the rockers in front of the rear wheels. Being an XLT, this truck wears alloy wheels which look great and are wrapped in deep rubber all around. Please take your time and review each of the many photos. I would rate the interior of this Ford Explorer to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. It is obvious that the previous owners took great pride in ownership of this vehicle. The door panels are all clean and tight. The carpets are clean and show well for the age of this truck. The dash and headliner are both clean, too. This is a well optioned vehicle. The tan leather interior shows significantly better than most as these truck are known for rips in the seats with age. As you can see, the leather seats are nearly perfect. The arm rest is also in good condition. This truck is optioned with power windows, locks, mirrors, seat and sunroof...all of which appear to be working properly. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The stereo is the original premium sound which works great. The cargo area is spacious as you'd expect. This Ford Explorer came traded with multiple sets of keys and remotes...which speaks volumes to how it was treated by its previous owners. Mechanically, this Explorer appears to be in good running and driving condition. The famous 302ci V8 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The suspension feels pretty tight. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this SUV with no problems. The only complaint I have about this truck is a noise in the front end. I've driven this truck about 100 miles and cannot determine the source with 100% certainty. At first listen, it sounds like the front axle housing is beginning to make noise. What doesn't make sense is that it gets quieter at highway speeds. It is also possible that the noise is coming from a wheel bearing or hub. I've driven this vehicle on several occasions without issues and it can probably go for a while as it currently is...but you'll have to deal with it within the next year for sure. Other than that, I have no complaints. The engine makes great power. It keeps proper temperature and great oil pressure. It drives straight with no complaints. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. The V8 Explorers are full time 4WD so there are no issues there. With just 146k miles, this truck is ready to go another ten years. Worst case on the front end repair should be under $600, in my experience, and I am happy to extend my resources as a dealer to the winning bidder to keep the expense at a minimum. It could also be a minor repair such as a hub or wheel bearing which would be around $200. Either way, I'll do what I can to help if the winning bidder is local. Winning bidders: Winning bidders are required to contact us within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. If contact has not been established and arrangments are not made within 4 days of auction close, we reserve the right to open an unpaid item case with eBay and sell the vehicle to someone else. Vehicle Pick-up: Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility. Accepted Payment Methods: Cash is the preferred method of payment. Other payment arrangements may be made, please contact us to make those arrangements. Payment is due within 7 days of the auction close. Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am neither a mechanic nor do I have an auto service facility. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description, read my terms & conditions and review each photo in detail as we sell each vehicle "as-traded" and there will be things in each description that you'll need to know. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a Ford Explorer XLT 4WD. I would rate the exterior of this vehicle to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this Explorer. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in black which shows well. For the most part, the finish on this truck shines like glass. There are a few small spots on the roof and a little on the hood where the paint shows minor oxidation which is common for Fords of this age. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find evidence of typical wear associated with a vehicle of this age. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. There is no noteworthy damage to report on the exterior of this truck. As with most older Explorers, there is some rust on the rockers in front of the rear wheels. Being an XLT, this truck wears alloy wheels which look great and are wrapped in deep rubber all around. Please take your time and review each of the many photos.
I would rate the interior of this Ford Explorer to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. It is obvious that the previous owners took great pride in ownership of this vehicle. The door panels are all clean and tight. The carpets are clean and show well for the age of this truck. The dash and headliner are both clean, too. This is a well optioned vehicle. The tan leather interior shows significantly better than most as these truck are known for rips in the seats with age. As you can see, the leather seats are nearly perfect. The arm rest is also in good condition. This truck is optioned with power windows, locks, mirrors, seat and sunroof...all of which appear to be working properly. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The stereo is the original premium sound which works great. The cargo area is spacious as you'd expect. This Ford Explorer came traded with multiple sets of keys and remotes...which speaks volumes to how it was treated by its previous owners.
Mechanically, this Explorer appears to be in good running and driving condition. The famous 302ci V8 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The suspension feels pretty tight. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this SUV with no problems. The only complaint I have about this truck is a noise in the front end. I've driven this truck about 100 miles and cannot determine the source with 100% certainty. At first listen, it sounds like the front axle housing is beginning to make noise. What doesn't make sense is that it gets quieter at highway speeds. It is also possible that the noise is coming from a wheel bearing or hub. I've driven this vehicle on several occasions without issues and it can probably go for a while as it currently is...but you'll have to deal with it within the next year for sure. Other than that, I have no complaints. The engine makes great power. It keeps proper temperature and great oil pressure. It drives straight with no complaints. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. The V8 Explorers are full time 4WD so there are no issues there. With just 146k miles, this truck is ready to go another ten years. Worst case on the front end repair should be under $600, in my experience, and I am happy to extend my resources as a dealer to the winning bidder to keep the expense at a minimum. It could also be a minor repair such as a hub or wheel bearing which would be around $200. Either way, I'll do what I can to help if the winning bidder is local. Winning bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. If contact has not been established and arrangments are not made within 4 days of auction close, we reserve the right to open an unpaid item case with eBay and sell the vehicle to someone else.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Cash is the preferred method of payment. Other payment arrangements may be made, please contact us to make those arrangements.
Payment is due within 7 days of the auction close. Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is not accepted for payment. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without specific arrangements and exception being made will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
We take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
