Vehicle Detail
Own a piece of true automotive history. This gorgeous 1925 Ford Model T Coupe looks and drives beautifully. It is loaded with all the extra's you want and need when owning and driving a Model T. It has an original Ruckstell 2 speed differential that has the shift lever on the front left side of the vehicle. This car is great for those steep hills as well as the flat roads. There are Rocky Mountain breaks that help stop the "T". The original Hassler springs are on the front axle as well as a steering damper. There are vibration brackets on both the front and back fenders. I have a picture of this car that was taken approximately in 1942 when it was used by the family teenagers as transportation to the local High School. The picture shows the vibration brackets the same as it stands today. According to the information I have on this vehicle it's an older complete frame off restoration. It's been converted to 12 volts and has a Bosch distributor to bring the spark to the plugs. The alternator works and charges the battery as its supposed to. The lights do not dim and are nice and bright. I believe the headlamp lenses are original or are at least from the original era as they have a purple tint in them due to the Manganeese that was used at the time to clear up the glass but it was found to eventually turn the glass purple. The tires are new and the wheel spokes are tight and true. I recently rebuilt the rear end installing both new pinion and ring gears. The upholstery and headliner are in nice condition (though not original) and do not have any rips or tears in them. It does have a speedometer in the dash but it's not connected, ( it would need a cable and gear). The magneto does not function as I believe the magnets were removed from the flywheel during the restoration to lighten it. It does not need the magneto to operate and is especially not necessary with the alternator. It has a really cool and rare vacuum horn that has a cable and knob running under the dash to operate. The sheetmetal on this car is exceptional. I've been told by numerous Model T enthusiast's that it's the best they've ever seen. All 4 fenders are original and have no bondo or body putty anywhere. When you run your fingers on all the edges it's nothing but perfect seams and bends. The hood, doors and skirts are all in great condition and original as well. The trunk lid is original but is not perfect. It seems that it has a little hail damage on it when you look close up, but not at all noticebally from a distance and I would leave it just as it is I would be willing to deliver the "T" within a 1000 mile radius of Albuquerque as I have an open car trailer. The fee to deliver is $1.00/mile ( one way charge only). I. E. if it's to be delivered 475 miles from Albuquerque, the fee would be $475.00 Please e-mail or call me at (505)259-5676 with any questions and thanks for looking at this great Ford.
