Vehicle Detail
This is an all metal, original body, 1963 CJ-3B Willys Jeep. The Chevy 350 is tight and built for reliable performance. The intake is an Edelbrock topped with a Quadrajet. Oversized K&N air filter. The engine is fitted with long headers and 3" exhaust that end mid-frame. There are twin Flex-a-Lite electric fans to keep the beast cool at all speeds and running conditions. New fuel pump and high-volume water pump just installed. The rig has power steering and front disc front brakes for comfort and safety. The gear shifter is fitted with a hand-throttle to accelerate without using the pedal. The differentials are geared at 456 with a Dana 44 in the rear with a Detroit Locker and the front is a Dana 30 front with a Power Lock. The hubs are Warn with aluminum wheels. The tires are Super Swamper 33's and 35's fit with no problem. The suspension is a spring over Wrangler set-up with Bilstein Shocks on all four corners. The tranny is a SM-420 four speed with a granny first gear followed by a Dana 20 transfer case. Up front is a Warn XD9000i winch to pull you out of any situation. Mounted on the front bumper is a farm/off-road jack. Hooks are frame-mounted on the front and rear to pull your friends out when they can't keep up. The dash is set-up with all Autometer gauges, but the speedo doesn't work. The jeep comes with a full soft top, full doors, half doors, and bimini top. There are two cooler racks and a spare tire mount on the rear, all of which is removable. For the back, I've got bench and bucket seats. This is not your "run around grocery getter", this rig was built to be off the beaten path, so if you want air-conditioned city boy ride, this isn't for you. If you want a powerful, well built, go anywhere, climbing/mudding machine, this is where you should be looking. If you have questions, please ask. I have a notarized title in hand. I may be open to trades, so send any ideas. So I have a few questions from buyers that i feel I should answer to everyone. 1. The drive shafts are: U-joint on both ends on the front shaft. The back is U-joint rear and CV joint in front. Both differentials are angled to reduce the "bind" on the joints. No popping or problems. The builder didn't just weld stuff together, this was built for a purpose with knowledge. 2. The frame is reinforced or boxed where the shock mounts and springs are attached.3. The transfer case is a 1 shift design with L4, H2, N, H4.4. The engine mounts are heavy duty and built to last.5. It does not run hot. 6. This is not a daily driver, in fact, it handles like ass on the road. This is an OFF ROAD VEHICLE, that is street legal. I drive it on the highway to get to the desert and play. I would not buy this to get to work every day. The Jeep doesn't not have sway bars. If you want the Jeep, please look at all of the pictures.I am not selling this Jeep due to a problem. This is a fine ride that would cost well over $10,000 to think about building. Questions that are unanswered, call me at 928-287-3957, David.
