Up for Auction is my 1997 F-250 Heavy Duty Powerstoke Diesel XLT 301,288 miles Orig engine, trans.. I ordered this truck from the Ford dealer and bought it in 1997 and I was the ONLY owner. The truck has been maintained over the life of the truck according to owners manual specs Oil changes, transmission service, filters etc..I used shell Rotella oil and Wix oil filters from the beginning.. for the first 10 years of the life of the truck I drove ALL highway... After that.. I drove about 5000 miles a year .. Now, I went on vacation for 2 weeks and left the truck park in my driveway.. and after running fine before I parked it... It decided to crank, but not start up.. I have no idea what the problem is but I've since bought a truck with a 6 cylinder ( as I was planning to do before my F-250 went haywire anyways) and really rather not get into paying to diagnose my old one. The truck is in well-used condition... there is some rust in the usual places on the body (frame is in excellent condition) ( pictures included) of a 15 year old truck but not overwhelming.. it really just started rusting about a year ago. The paint on the roof and hood is starting to peel as well. The interior needs a good cleaning but is largely in good shape for the miles and year. Like I said, up until I left it sit for 2 weeks It ran fine and shifted great as well... No transmission Slippage.. A/C is very cold. Over the years I had put ball joints,a water pump,2 fuel pumps and Tons of maintenance. When I left it sit, the steering was a bit loose from when it was new - I suspect some minor front end work may be needed. The truck has been an EXCELLENT truck and will be an excellent one for the person who buys it. Any Questions? Please ask before bidding .
