Vehicle Detail

FIRST- I am a long-time eBay user with 100% feedback under the name of 'bams50'. I recently started this new account under my new business name to simplify separating business and personal for accounting purposes. Feel free to check my feedback for my other user name. This is a 1960 Studebaker Lark VI 4DSD. It has the original flathead 6 cyl. engine with 3-speed manual trans. with Overdrive. I have driven this car daily for the past three summers. Currently licensed and insured. BODY: Amazingly rock solid and straight. Has one small hole at the usual Studebaker spot, back edge of each front fender. There is one small hole in one rocker panel. Other than that there are NO RUST HOLES. The floors, doors, trunk, and all the rest are super-solid and rust-free, with no damage. Paint (Oasis Green) is tired and thin, but still shines up fairly well and looks decent. MECHANICAL: Starts right up and runs excellent; quiet and smooth. You can barely hear it running. Several new parts, listed below. Carries the car down the road quite well. When warm, the oil light flickers; always has. Never makes a knock, click, or rattle of any kind. Have put on a few thousand miles without any problems. Trans. shifts and works like it should; overdrive works perfectly. The trans. does have some noise at part throttle. Again, it's never affected anything, always run perfectly. I do have a correct replacement trans. that goes with it; I never changed it because it has always worked well and never gotten worse. Steering and brakes are in good shape, again it drives well. Exhaust is all new, from engine back. Tires nearly new. Heater is complete but never turned on. Don't know condition. INTERIOR: This is the weakest area of the car. Dash is decent and complete, pad has cracks. Door panels there but fair to poor. No carpet. Original seat structures are good but upholstery is shot; so I put in these red seats out of a '90 Dodge. They're in great shape, comfortable, and sit sell, but obviously not correct. The original seats are available if buyer wants them. NEW PARTS: Tires, exhaust, battery, hoses, belts, tuneup. This is a sweet, fun, tame little car that the family can enjoy for very little money. Drive it today while you fix up the interior and tinker with little details like some weatherstrip, horn, and wiper arms (motor works but arms are removed. I never installed because I only drove in nice weather). You can enjoy it as is with little to no work, restore it to show condition, or anywhere in between. If you want to enjoy the collector car hobby in tight times, this is your car! As always, she is stored inside, and will remain there until picked up or shipped. I can arrange delivery anywhere for you if you like. Once sold and paid in full, car can stay until Spring with prior arrangement, for small storage fee. Important to note: Literally ANY PART of this car is readily available used, new, or NOS, at very reasonable prices; I'll make sure buyer gets all that info. Studebakers also enjoy very strong club support and online forums filled with great folks willing to help. Feel free to ask any questions through eBay or text only to 315-440-7351. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER, IT WILL NOT BE ANSWERED- TEXT ONLY. Thank you, and Happy New Year!
