Here is a Very Clean 1992 Honda Civic VX 1.5L D15Z1 SOHC VTEC-E 5 speed manual, ICE COLD A/C, NEWER PAINT JOB, NEWER WHEELS & TIRES, NEWER SUSPENSION ALL AROUND, NEW RADIO and much more ..... NO RESERVE! This car was purchased to be a reliable, yet fun car for my son for daily transportation. Additionally, a considerable amount of time, effort and money has gone into making it just that, fun and reliable. However, he has never had an opportunity to even drive the car and now, his lack of responsibility has become his loss and your opportunity! This car is much cleaner and nicer than many show cars I have seen! It could easily be shown if so desired, but was simply intended to be a very nice driver car.Previously, I was an ASE Certified Master Technician for many years and do know what I am looking at and for. Additionally, I took a Honda Specific Technician with me to look this car over thoroughly before purchase and purchased it knowing full well that there were some minor cosmetic and mechanical issues. So, while it is exceptionally nice and certainly one of the nicest I have seen, it is not perfect and you should not expect it to be either. Therefore, upon bringing it home, I had the Honda Technician go over the car thoroughly and fix every mechanical item he could find that needed any attention at all. Additionally, the previous owner had lovingly cared for the car also and had recently done a good bit of maintenance and minor cosmetic upgrades to the car. My understanding is that as of approximately 2 years ago, this car was completely stock and unmodified. So, it is my understanding that the recent maintenance and upgrades noted in this ad were either items that the previous owner stated to me they had done or items that I have had done. It is still largely stock and unmodified while many well thought out enhancements to the vehicle have been made while routine maintenance items were also done. In my search, I saw many of these cars that have crashed, rusted and were plain junk. I had no interest in anything like that and that is why I looked long and hard to find this car. Every indication to myself and the Honda Technician from looking at this car tell us that this car has all original panels and if any at all, never had any significant rust that we have been able to find. I have thoroughly looked the car over again this week and see no evidence of rust anywhere that I can find. Obviously, the car is 20 years old and there is always the potential for that to arise at some later point. Again, I wanted to do all I could do to be sure the car was reliable enough to drive anywhere at any time so my son did not have any problem. There have been several cars on here recently that were either previously crashed and repaired or rusted and panels cut out and repaired/replaced. This car is NOT one of those and I would never buy one like that because you really have no way to know the true quality of the repair or the competence level of the person that repaired it. That is why I took the time to look for a higher quality, original panel car.These cars are known to get an amazing 45 to 55 mpg depending on the way you drive and have seen folks getting mileage in the 70 mpg+ range by utilizing some hypermiling techniques! THIS CAR RUNS, DRIVES AND SHIFTS GREAT! I do not know the exact mileage of the car as it appears that somewhere along the line, the odometer may have been replaced because this car shows very little wear. My Honda technician did advise that this is a common occurrence on these cars because sometimes, the speed sensor fails and folks that don't know any better think it is the speedometer itself and replace it only to find that was not the problem. What I can say is that this car looks, runs and drives like a low mile car! I didn't care about the mileage on the car since the car was so clean and so beautiful that I felt it had obviously been exceptionally well cared for and when properly cared for miles really don't matter nearly as much as long as proper maintenance is performed. Again, the car has been thoroughly inspected by Honda Technicians and any and all noted mechanical issues were remedied. Engine and Transmission: It has what appears to be the original D15Z1 which is the 1.5 L SOHC VTEC engine that the Civic VX is world renowned for getting exceptional fuel economy with while at the same time being extremely reliable. It does also have the correct 5 wire 02 sensor, long ratio 5 speed transmission and other items that make this car have the ability to get such great fuel economy. Was advised that the water pump, timing belt and numerous other maintenance was recently done in addition to the O2 sensor being replaced and there are NO check engine lights on! Was also advised that a new clutch assembly was installed. Most notable upgrades in addition to maintenance work(noted farther down the page) done in this area are:Newer, better than stock battery.Header and aftermarket muffler with a nice tone and not some obnoxiously loud sound like many I have seen and would never personally use.Ram air style cold air intake.Powder coated valve cover. Front upper strut bar. Suspension For the suspension, it has coilovers and overall, it rides pretty good in my opinion. It has also recently had camber control arms installed in the front as well as some other bushings that had some slight wear. Additionally, Skunk2 lower rear control arms(see pics) were installed with a similarly shaded tie bar for both looks and performance. Alignment was performed by the best alignment shop in the area.Most notable upgrades in addition to maintenance work done in this area are:Lowered on coilover sleeves, but not too low.Full camber kitSkunk 2 rear lower control arms Beaks rep rear tie bar Wheels & Tires Wheels are ICW Racing Mach 10 with color coordinated, black locking lug nuts. There is one wheel center cap missing, but I can tell you where to get a replacement because I don't have time to deal with it at the moment. The wheels really look great on the car and are a great contrast against the pearl white! Interior ICE COLD AC!! Interior is ULTRA RARE blue which from what I have seen are very few and far between. It seems like almost all of the cars I looked at before and since purchasing this one had gray/black interiors. The interior is exceptionally nice and clean and the only thing I noticed at all was the stitching on the drivers side seat kidney bolster evidently started coming apart and someone has restitched it. It also has a new Sony HD Stereo with remote control and has a system for installing your phone, iPod or other device where you can play all your own music by putting it inside of the stereo. So, it appears that this car has had one repaint sometime just prior to my purchase of the car and when the car was repainted, someone was thoughtful enough to add a pearl to the car which depending on how the light hits it and where it hits the car, it has a bluish or goldish hue. It looks amazing when the light hits it and the pearl really shows. It looks especially great in the evenings and especially when headlights, overhead street lights or other lighting hits the pearl. It almost looks like it glows! Recommended parts that may need to be replaced in the future Not aware of anything that would be "needed" other than another loving and caring owner since I am old(have back and hip problems) and have a very hard time getting in and out of it and since my son will never get the car that I originally intended for him to have. I'm sure there are a few minor items that may be things that some new owners may want to do, but that would only be a matter of personal preference and nothing that "needs" to be done. If I fit, I would drive and enjoy it, but I am an older, larger man with health issues and this car is not for me.
