Up for sale is my 1972 Karmann Ghia. Car is located in Raleigh, NC. I bought it with the full intentions of doing a complete restore on it, but between my 19 month old little girl and a job that has me on the road 2-3 weeks a month, I just do not have time. This car was originally purchased in Charlotte, NC. I have the original owner’s manual along with the maintenance records performed at the dealer. This car runs awesome. It cranks on the first try and the transmission shifts perfectly. The tires on the car have tons of tread but are showing some dry rotting. I would not be scared at all to hop in and drive from Raleigh to San Francisco other than the tires could be an issue. Floor pans on the car are in good condition. Sony stereo does not work not sure why it might be a fuse. All I have done to the car is drive it around on the weekends. Car has minor surface rust on the bottom on the engine deck and minor surface rust at the bottom of the driver doors. As you can see the interior is in great shape with no tears in the seats. If you always wanted a Ghia without breaking the bank, here is a great opportunity. Like I said, you could replace the tires and probably drive it just as it is now for the next 10 years. It is unreal how many people stop me to talk about how they wanted one, knew someone who had one, or they haven’t seen one in years.
