Vehicle Detail

Jeep Scramblers were built from 1981 to 1986 with a total of just over 27,000 in production. To say the least they are quite rare, if not the rarest Jeep. All of them started with a Fiberglass Pick-Up half top, a Half Soft Top or no top at all. Some also had the rear wooden bed rails as well, as this one does. This 1984 CJ8 Scrambler is a frame off, full restoration. Body was fully stripped, prepped and painted with a 2-stage urethane in original Chestnut Brown Metallic paint. Absolutely NO Rust and NO Bondo present. Phoenix Graphics Stripe Kit was also installed to complete the exterior. Interior tub has LineX Extra with Kevlar that matches the paint perfectly. The underside of the tub was Bead Blasted, Epoxy coated and with the front fenders have Black LineX. The LineX was done professionally and does not look like most tubs that have the roll on bed liner of some sort that looks terrible. This is a first rate quality job. Stainless Steel hardware was installed throughout and Grade-8 as well where applicable. There are 2 sets of doors included. The original Full Hard doors were fitted with TJ Wrangler mirrors, Tinted Glass and stainless hardware. The Half Wrangler doors are a matching set, fully complete, were fitted the same and are easily interchangeable. This Scrambler also has a Matching Nutmeg Bikini Top with upper windshield rail. Original Fiberglass Pick-Up Top is installed and has new tinted glass, rear sliding window with new Rubber seal, and has been finished the original Nutmeg Color as well but inside and out. Windshield is new, and side door glass is also tinted. All glass is in Great shape. This is essentially a New 1984 Jeep Scrambler. All New Rubber Weather Stripping has been installed throughout. There was absolutely NO rust on this Scrambler and with the restoration process completed there very well never will be. The original interior is Nutmeg and very nice. The only thing that needs attention is the seam tear on the side on the driver’s original seat. I did not want to replace the original seats with Bestop or another brand. These would not match correctly. There is NOT a stereo included. However, there are very nice speakers installed in factory dash with monster cable wire leads and factory antennae ready to connect to your stereo in console. There is a factory Nutmeg console included, but I was going to complete the stereo installation in a Tuffy console but have not done so. (Got to leave something for new owner to do) The finished product is excellent. This Scrambler is show ready and has never been off road since completed. I am selling this Jeep because I have too many toys and I will not be able to drive and enjoy it as I should. To build this Scrambler with all the items included would be well over $30,000.00. I have seen much lesser CJs sell for a lot more and my reserve is well under this amount. My loss is your gain. There are many very nice CJ-7s out there, but the new owner will have a wonderful Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler that is not only extremely rare but VERY nice. Scrambler has less that 200 miles since restoration was completed last September 2012. I will try to be completely unbiased in saying, with all included, this is one of the nicest Scramblers / Jeeps I have ever seen. This is a Great representation of the original Scrambler with some tasteful improvements. Expect to get many comments very often when driving it. I have clean title in hand. I will have the Scrambler completely detailed prior to delivery. If this Jeep needs to be shipped to new owner, I would highly suggest having it sent by covered / enclosed trailer. It is that nice! There is not a blemish or ANYTHING on the exterior of this Scrambler. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and cost. I will, however, assist in making myself available at time of transport pickup. I have had great luck with DAS in the past for shipping vehicles. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Please ask as many questions as needed before bidding. I know I have forgotten some additional details. I will add info as needed. Additional pictures will be added soon. I have had a lot of questions about this Scrambler so far. Please read listing and ask questions if additional info is needed. I have this Scrambler for sale locally as well, so I reserve the right to end auction early. The last picture with the Scrambler in the shop shows the original Wood Side Rails, Side Steps and fully complete. The Scrambler has not been off road at all. I have a shell driveway and some has kicked up a little. I wanted to show some build pictures so you know how well it was built, that there is nothing to hide, that there is NO rust or even wavy panels. Even the rear bed is perfect. If you look closely at the engine pictures you can see there is Weber Carburetor installed. I was not happy with this set up at all and now there is a great running Holley 4B 390cfm installed as listed. Also in some of the engine pictures, you can see how New the frame looks and the quality of the stainless and Grade-8 hardware included. Remember, these are build pictures. This Scrambler is 100% complete (look at last picture) and would make someone not only a very srtong show candidate but a very nice daily driver as well. I already have too many vehicles and I am NOT taking any trades for this Jeep. Thank you. Good Luck bidding.
