I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am neither a mechanic nor do I run an auto service business. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description, read my terms & conditions and review each of the photos carefully BEFORE asking questions and BEFORE placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very clean 1997 Ford Expolrer XLT 4x4. The Ford Explorer has been around for quite some time and has an excellent reputation for rugged construction and reliability. The specific Explorer is a prime example of why these vehicles have that reputation. I would rate the exterior of this Expolrer XLT to be in EXCELLENT CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. If you follow my listings, you'll know that I rarely give an "excellent" rating to any vehicle. Please don't confuse excellent and perfect. I'm sure you'll be able to find some small scratches and flaws if you look hard enough. However, this truck would pass for having under 100k miles without question. The paint shines well and looks good from any angle. There is no noteworthy damage to the exterior of this Explorer. There is no rust on the rocker panels which is common to find on Explorers with half the miles as this one. All of the chrome looks good. With the exception of a cracked tail light lens, all of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a matching set of rubber with good tread all around. Pride in ownership shows in every inch of this Explorer. An SUV doesn't stay in this condition after 200k miles by accident! I would rate the interior of this Explorer to also be in EXCELLENT CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well. The seats are clean and comfortable. The headliner and dash are clean and free of damage. This Explorer is optioned with power windows, locks, and mirrors...all of which are working properly. The stereo is original and sounds great. The climate control system is working properly. The cargo area is spacious and clean, too. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout this vehicle. Mechanically, this Explorer appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. In fact, the only bad thing I can say about this Explorer mechanically is that the fan is a little noisy (I'm pretty sure it's the fan). The engine makes good power. The suspension feels tight. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this Explorer with no issues. Out on the road, she drives very well. The vehicle is steady at speeds and will cruise down the highway with no complaints. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. I've personally driven this truck on several occasions with no problems at all. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. If contact has not been established and arrangments are not made within 4 days of auction close, we reserve the right to open an unpaid item case with eBay and sell the vehicle to someone else. Vehicle Pick-up: Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility. Accepted Payment Methods: Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw. Paypal is not accepted for payment. This includes Bill Me Later. All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day. Bid Retractions/Changes: We take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am neither a mechanic nor do I run an auto service business. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description, read my terms & conditions and review each of the photos carefully BEFORE asking questions and BEFORE placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very clean 1997 Ford Expolrer XLT 4x4. The Ford Explorer has been around for quite some time and has an excellent reputation for rugged construction and reliability. The specific Explorer is a prime example of why these vehicles have that reputation. I would rate the exterior of this Expolrer XLT to be in EXCELLENT CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. If you follow my listings, you'll know that I rarely give an "excellent" rating to any vehicle. Please don't confuse excellent and perfect. I'm sure you'll be able to find some small scratches and flaws if you look hard enough. However, this truck would pass for having under 100k miles without question. The paint shines well and looks good from any angle. There is no noteworthy damage to the exterior of this Explorer. There is no rust on the rocker panels which is common to find on Explorers with half the miles as this one. All of the chrome looks good. With the exception of a cracked tail light lens, all of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a matching set of rubber with good tread all around. Pride in ownership shows in every inch of this Explorer. An SUV doesn't stay in this condition after 200k miles by accident!
I would rate the interior of this Explorer to also be in EXCELLENT CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well. The seats are clean and comfortable. The headliner and dash are clean and free of damage. This Explorer is optioned with power windows, locks, and mirrors...all of which are working properly. The stereo is original and sounds great. The climate control system is working properly. The cargo area is spacious and clean, too. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout this vehicle.
Mechanically, this Explorer appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. In fact, the only bad thing I can say about this Explorer mechanically is that the fan is a little noisy (I'm pretty sure it's the fan). The engine makes good power. The suspension feels tight. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this Explorer with no issues. Out on the road, she drives very well. The vehicle is steady at speeds and will cruise down the highway with no complaints. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. I've personally driven this truck on several occasions with no problems at all. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Winning bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. If contact has not been established and arrangments are not made within 4 days of auction close, we reserve the right to open an unpaid item case with eBay and sell the vehicle to someone else.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is not accepted for payment. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
We take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.

The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are unable to complete any tag or title work, including temp tags, in-house, nor do we collect any sales tax or registration fees. There are Tag & Title locations nearby that can handle those tranactions. We will assist you in that process.
