I buy fresh trades from larger dealerships and resell them directly to the public "as-traded". I personally road test each unit before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind, as you read this description, that I am neither a mechanic nor do I operate a full service automotive facility. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description, read my terms & conditions and review each of the photos closely BEFORE asking questions and BEFORE placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice Mercedes-Benz E420 sedan finished in black over tan. Anyone who knows me or follows my auctions knows that I am a huge fan of Mercedes-Benz vehicles of this era and older for their unparellelled quality in engineering and craftsmanship. I would rate the exterior condition of this E420 to be ABOVE AVERAGE for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a great looking vehicle. The black finish shines very well and looks good from any angle. As with any used vehicle, please expect to find some evidence of wear commensurate with age and mileage. There is no noteworthy damage on the exterior of this vehicle. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in average rubber all around. All of the glass and lenese appear to be intact. In addition to the low miles, I was especially drawn to this specific vehicle because I was not able to find any rust on the exterior. This generation of Mercedes' are known to rust extensively and it is very uncommon to find one in this condition. I would rate the interior of this Mercedes E420 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, the interior of this Mercedes is in great condition for an older vehicle. The door cards are clean, tight and show well. The carpets are also clean for the age of this vehicle. The trunk is spacious and also clean. The leather seats show well throughout the interior and are very comfortable to drive in. The wood accents throughout the doors, dash and console also show very well. The power windows, mirrors, seats and sunroof all appear to be working properly. The central locks do not work so the doors must be locked individually. The original books are included as well as one key/remote. The remote does work but is not effective since there is a problem with the little vacuum module (not expensive to replace). The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The air conditioning blows ice cold air. The stereo is the original Mercedes/BOSE sound which sounds great and has a factory CD changer in the trunk. The head unit works properly and does not have the "mind of its own volume knob" that is common with that unit. Mechanically, this Mercedes E420 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.2L V8 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. It does not smoke and I did not see any leaks. It keeps proper temperature and makes excellent power. The suspension feels nice and tight. The steering feels neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this sedan with no issues. This Mercedes is an absolute blast to drive. It makes 286hp/295tq through a perfectly geared 5 speed automatic transmission. This Mercedes owns the merge lane, haha. It makes a lot of speed in a hurry and can also cruise along at 80mph without breaking a sweat. It drives strait at highway speeds. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. I am pretty picky with my Benzs'. Believe me, there is no such thing as a perfect Mercedes. I've owned them long enough to know that. However, I do feel that they are the best made vehicles on the market and one of the few that (when properly cared for) are able to be kept in service for decades. I have a Mercedes specialist that I drive 40 minutes to each way for service on all of my Mercedes'. For local buyers, I'm happy to pass on his contact information. I literally pass two other independent Mercedes garages on the way to his shop...with three others (including two dealers) being equidistant or closer. I just had a major service done on this vehicle which involved lifter adjustment/replacement and a general once over...at a cost of $1,000 because I believe cars like this deserve proper care. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I buy fresh trades from larger dealerships and resell them directly to the public "as-traded". I personally road test each unit before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind, as you read this description, that I am neither a mechanic nor do I operate a full service automotive facility. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description, read my terms & conditions and review each of the photos closely BEFORE asking questions and BEFORE placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice Mercedes-Benz E420 sedan finished in black over tan. Anyone who knows me or follows my auctions knows that I am a huge fan of Mercedes-Benz vehicles of this era and older for their unparellelled quality in engineering and craftsmanship. I would rate the exterior condition of this E420 to be ABOVE AVERAGE for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a great looking vehicle. The black finish shines very well and looks good from any angle. As with any used vehicle, please expect to find some evidence of wear commensurate with age and mileage. There is no noteworthy damage on the exterior of this vehicle. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in average rubber all around. All of the glass and lenese appear to be intact. In addition to the low miles, I was especially drawn to this specific vehicle because I was not able to find any rust on the exterior. This generation of Mercedes' are known to rust extensively and it is very uncommon to find one in this condition.
I would rate the interior of this Mercedes E420 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, the interior of this Mercedes is in great condition for an older vehicle. The door cards are clean, tight and show well. The carpets are also clean for the age of this vehicle. The trunk is spacious and also clean. The leather seats show well throughout the interior and are very comfortable to drive in. The wood accents throughout the doors, dash and console also show very well. The power windows, mirrors, seats and sunroof all appear to be working properly. The central locks do not work so the doors must be locked individually. The original books are included as well as one key/remote. The remote does work but is not effective since there is a problem with the little vacuum module (not expensive to replace). The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The air conditioning blows ice cold air. The stereo is the original Mercedes/BOSE sound which sounds great and has a factory CD changer in the trunk. The head unit works properly and does not have the "mind of its own volume knob" that is common with that unit.
Mechanically, this Mercedes E420 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.2L V8 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. It does not smoke and I did not see any leaks. It keeps proper temperature and makes excellent power. The suspension feels nice and tight. The steering feels neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this sedan with no issues. This Mercedes is an absolute blast to drive. It makes 286hp/295tq through a perfectly geared 5 speed automatic transmission. This Mercedes owns the merge lane, haha. It makes a lot of speed in a hurry and can also cruise along at 80mph without breaking a sweat. It drives strait at highway speeds. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. I am pretty picky with my Benzs'. Believe me, there is no such thing as a perfect Mercedes. I've owned them long enough to know that. However, I do feel that they are the best made vehicles on the market and one of the few that (when properly cared for) are able to be kept in service for decades. I have a Mercedes specialist that I drive 40 minutes to each way for service on all of my Mercedes'. For local buyers, I'm happy to pass on his contact information. I literally pass two other independent Mercedes garages on the way to his shop...with three others (including two dealers) being equidistant or closer. I just had a major service done on this vehicle which involved lifter adjustment/replacement and a general once over...at a cost of $1,000 because I believe cars like this deserve proper care. Winning bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. If contact has not been established and arrangments are not made within 4 days of auction close, we reserve the right to open an unpaid item case with eBay and sell the vehicle to someone else.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is not accepted for payment. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
We take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
