I personally road test each unit before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am neither a mechanic nor do I have an auto service facility. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description, read my terms & conditions and review each of the photos closely BEFORE asking questions and BEFORE placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1996 Ford Explorer XLT 4x4. I would rate the exterior condition of this Explorer to be in BELOW AVERAGE for the age and mileage of this vehicle. There is no hiding that there are some cosmetic issues with this Explorer. There is visible damage to the right front fender and right rear quarter at the door. The front bumper is also slightly pushed in at the center. All of the damage stated is cosmetic and does not affect the operation of this vehicle. In spite of its cosmetic flaws, the royal blue paint shines up well. I did not see any of the typical rocker or tail gate rust that these trucks are known for. It has alloys but is rolling on one spare as you can see in the pictures. I do not have the fourth alloy. The tire on the steel wheel is proper size and can be used without issue. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. If you're looking to score a trophy at the local Explorer show, this may not be the vehicle for you. If you need a reliable 4x4, read on. I would rate the interior of this Explorer to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The door panels are clean and tight throughout the interior. The carpets show well for the age of this vehicle as does the headliner. There is some typical wear on the drivers seat cushion. The rest of the seats show well. Both front seats are power adjusted and working properly. The stereo is original and sounds good. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The power locks do not work...which is a common Ford thing. When they try to unlock, it sounds like there is an angry goose inside the passenger door. The windows and sunroof work properly. Mechanically, this Explorer appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. There is a noticable exhaust leak which will most likely need replaced to pass inspection. The suspension feels good. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this truck with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives very well. The engine makes good power and keeps proper temperature and good oil pressure. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and strait with no complaints. This truck definitely exceeded my expectations out on the road. She'll cruise at 80mph with no problems. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Vehicle Pick-up: Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility. Accepted Payment Methods: Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw. Paypal is not accepted for payment. This includes Bill Me Later. All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day. The front bumper is also slightly pushed in at the center. All of the damage stated is cosmetic and does not affect the operation of this vehicle. In spite of its cosmetic flaws, the royal blue paint shines up well. I did not see any of the typical rocker or tail gate rust that these trucks are known for. It has alloys but is rolling on one spare as you can see in the pictures. I do not have the fourth alloy. The tire on the steel wheel is proper size and can be used without issue. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. If you're looking to score a trophy at the local Explorer show, this may not be the vehicle for you. If you need a reliable 4x4, read on.
I would rate the interior of this Explorer to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The door panels are clean and tight throughout the interior. The carpets show well for the age of this vehicle as does the headliner. There is some typical wear on the drivers seat cushion. The rest of the seats show well. Both front seats are power adjusted and working properly. The stereo is original and sounds good. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The power locks do not work...which is a common Ford thing. When they try to unlock, it sounds like there is an angry goose inside the passenger door. The windows and sunroof work properly.
Mechanically, this Explorer appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. There is a noticable exhaust leak which will most likely need replaced to pass inspection. The suspension feels good. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this truck with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives very well. The engine makes good power and keeps proper temperature and good oil pressure. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and strait with no complaints. This truck definitely exceeded my expectations out on the road. She'll cruise at 80mph with no problems. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.

All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
We take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
