You are bidding on a 1989 Cadillac Fleetwood Sedan (FWD) with 66,007 miles on the original 4.5L V8 engine and drivetrain. This car was purchased new on 10/22/1988 by my wife's parents with a MSRP of $31,411 and 26 miles. The car has a neutral body color of Antelope Firemist and it has Antelope leather seating, both of which are still original. We still have the original sticker and owner's manual. After her last parent died, this car was transferred to my wife on 4/20/1998 with 31,616 miles. This car has always been our third car since the transfer and I have kept most of the maintenance invoices since then. The car has always been a non-smoker's vehicle and has been driven mostly by me with no passengers. Uncertain if there was rust underneath the original after market half vinyl top, I had a trim shop replace it with a half Medium Driftwood Tuxedo grain vinyl top on 10/26/2012. I replaced the original radio many years ago with a Jensen Stereo system and the car has an Avital alarm system installed. I have the manuals for both the radio and alarm systems. I am also including the original wire hubcaps that I kept after installing Cadillac aluminum wheels. Although this car still looks good to be 24 years old, a new premium paint job would go well with the new vinyl top. The car still has the original gaskets and over time has developed small oil leaks. Someone suggested using additives to stop the oil leaks, but because I don't drive the car daily and only for short distances when I do, I never tried that approach. I last had a 60K miles major service done back on 11/18/2009 at 63,746 miles when it was tuned up with new spark plugs, wires and distributor cap. The transmission, power steering and coolant was also serviced at that time. I replaced the alternator on 4/6/2012 at 65,679 miles. This car has just recently passed the Texas Safety & Emissions Inspection on 10/22/2012 at 65,985 miles. Please note this car's digital dash display can be changed from English to Metrics by a simple push of a switch next to the odometer reading. Back on 9/16/2010 during a safety & emissions test, the tester inadvertently changed the display to Metrics and entered the mileage as 103,787 rather than the correct 64,492 miles. My wife is finally getting her wish of selling her car and thinks I am crazy for spending money on an old car. The reserve on this car is $3,500.
