These vehicles are mostly trade-ins from local new car dealerships and other dealers in the area. I buy and sell these vehicles "as-traded". They have not been serviced (unless otherwise specified), detailed, or fixed up for retail sale. I drive every one of my sale vehicles and write a thorough description including the good and bad of the vehicle. I try to accurately describe any mechanical issues to the best of my ability, but I am not a mechanic. When I compare something as "average" I am comparing it against the average of similar year and mileage used vehicles on the road, not the average on a dealer's retail sales lot. Volvo has a well deserved reputation for many things: cars that last for many hundreds of thousands of miles, safety features, and surviving crashes. They have also traditionally been known for being kind of slow and boring to drive. The T5 was Volvo’s response to that. The 2.3L 5 cylinder engine is turbo-charged and it puts out a lot of good, useable power and is a blast to drive. This S70 was a new car trade at Annapolis Volvo and is in overall good condition. It is painted an eye catching bright red. As you can see in the pictures, it does have a bit of clear-coat fade and peeling on the roof and some of the trim. The big T5 specific alloy wheels look great and are in excellent condition. They are wrapped in a set of nearly new Bridgestone Potenza radial tires. These are premium sport radials with excellent grip and all weather handling. The interior of this Volvo is trimmed out in black leather. The seats are in good condition and have firm, supportive cushions. The power seats adjust easily in multiple directions. Carpets and headliner are in good condition and there is a full set of Volvo floor mats in the car. The power windows, locks, and mirrors all work as they should. The power sunroof tilts and slides and seals properly. The factory stereo with CD player has good sound quality. The heater and A/C have a fully automatic climate control, or can be operated manually. This S70 T5 is a blast to drive. The understated look of the car hides one of the fastest production sedans of the late 90s. The turbo charged 5 cylinder engine is sedate and calm under light throttle. It is easy to drive smoothly and calmly around town. Get deep into the accelerator, the turbo charger comes alive, and this car changes. It is suddenly raring to go. Even with the full 240 hp on tap, this is still an easy car to control. The steering is tight and responsive. The automatic transmission and traction control keep the wheels stuck to the pavement and not doing smoky burnouts. The suspension is a good balance of comfort and control. You can push the car without worrying about losing control and yet it still soaks up bumps and rides down the highway nicely. Mechanically, this Volvo is the best of two worlds. It has Volvo reliability and sporty, turbo power. This is one of the few sporty turbo engines that can exceed 250,000 miles without requiring major repair (so long as it is properly maintained). This car starts up easily and put out as much power as you ask it to. The automatic transmission shifts quickly and smoothly. The brakes stop the car well. There is an intermittent ABS malfunction light. That is common for these cars and it does not reduce braking power. The suspension is straight and tight with no shakes or wobbles. There is a little suspension noise from the passenger side front. The Volvo S70 T5 is a fantastic combination: Volvo safety and reliability with T5 quickness and fun. This is a car you could easily drive every day for years to come. It offers such a unique combination of safety, reliability, and quickness that this was chosen as the preferred police car in many European countries. Thanks for looking at my auction. I am a Pennsylvania used vehicle dealer and I work differently than most dealers. I offer vehicles to the public at wholesale prices on eBay. These vehicles are mostly trade-ins from local new car dealerships and other dealers in the area. I buy and sell these vehicles "as-traded". They have not been serviced (unless otherwise specified), detailed, or fixed up for retail sale. I drive every one of my sale vehicles and write a thorough description including the good and bad of the vehicle. I try to accurately describe any mechanical issues to the best of my ability, but I am not a mechanic. When I compare something as "average" I am comparing it against the average of similar year and mileage used vehicles on the road, not the average on a dealer's retail sales lot. Please understand that these are used vehicles. They are not perfect. They have the wear and tear associated with age and mileage.

Up for auction with NO RESERVE is a 1998 S70 T5, a fast Volvo. Volvo has a well deserved reputation for many things: cars that last for many hundreds of thousands of miles, safety features, and surviving crashes. They have also traditionally been known for being kind of slow and boring to drive. The T5 was Volvo’s response to that. The 2.3L 5 cylinder engine is turbo-charged and it puts out a lot of good, useable power and is a blast to drive.
This S70 was a new car trade at Annapolis Volvo and is in overall good condition. It is painted an eye catching bright red. As you can see in the pictures, it does have a bit of clear-coat fade and peeling on the roof and some of the trim. The big T5 specific alloy wheels look great and are in excellent condition. They are wrapped in a set of nearly new Bridgestone Potenza radial tires. These are premium sport radials with excellent grip and all weather handling.
The interior of this Volvo is trimmed out in black leather. The seats are in good condition and have firm, supportive cushions. The power seats adjust easily in multiple directions. Carpets and headliner are in good condition and there is a full set of Volvo floor mats in the car. The power windows, locks, and mirrors all work as they should. The power sunroof tilts and slides and seals properly. The factory stereo with CD player has good sound quality. The heater and A/C have a fully automatic climate control, or can be operated manually.
This S70 T5 is a blast to drive. The understated look of the car hides one of the fastest production sedans of the late 90s. The turbo charged 5 cylinder engine is sedate and calm under light throttle. It is easy to drive smoothly and calmly around town. Get deep into the accelerator, the turbo charger comes alive, and this car changes. It is suddenly raring to go. Even with the full 240 hp on tap, this is still an easy car to control. The steering is tight and responsive. The automatic transmission and traction control keep the wheels stuck to the pavement and not doing smoky burnouts. The suspension is a good balance of comfort and control. You can push the car without worrying about losing control and yet it still soaks up bumps and rides down the highway nicely.
Mechanically, this Volvo is the best of two worlds. It has Volvo reliability and sporty, turbo power. This is one of the few sporty turbo engines that can exceed 250,000 miles without requiring major repair (so long as it is properly maintained). This car starts up easily and put out as much power as you ask it to. The automatic transmission shifts quickly and smoothly. The brakes stop the car well. There is an intermittent ABS malfunction light. That is common for these cars and it does not reduce braking power. The suspension is straight and tight with no shakes or wobbles. There is a little suspension noise from the passenger side front.
The Volvo S70 T5 is a fantastic combination: Volvo safety and reliability with T5 quickness and fun. This is a car you could easily drive every day for years to come. It offers such a unique combination of safety, reliability, and quickness that this was chosen as the preferred police car in many European countries.

Winning bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. If contact has not been established and arrangments are not made within 4 days of auction close, we reserve the right to open an unpaid item case with eBay and sell the vehicle to someone else.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is not accepted for payment. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $10/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
We take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they have read and agree to our entire terms & conditions as well as eBay's terms & conditions. Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 administrative fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any transfer costs incurred by the purchaser. The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are unable to complete any tag or title work, including temp tags, in-house, nor do we collect any sales tax or registration fees. There are Tag & Title locations nearby that can handle those tranactions. We will assist you in that process.
