Vehicle Detail

No Reserve. NO Reserve! NO RESERVE!!! Wonderful Winter White 2 Owner Specimen! Low Low miles! Remote starter/keyless installed for those COLD mornings. Don't miss out on this one!! Definitely one of the NICER S40s I've had as of late. Super low miles. Recently serviced. Ready to go. Exterior is super clean. Hard to see, and impossible to show via pics, the roof and hood have some light hail dings. Being white, I never even noticed them until the late sunset caught em right. Absolutely zero dents. I'm no bodyman but I see no signs of any major repairs or repaints. Front and rear bumper covers look excellent. Front cover and hood has barely any rockchips. Only a tiny touched up area of surface rust under the edge of hood below grill. I can see only a few doordings and only a few tiny stains left from tree droppings, etc. ALL of which can be removed from a professional buffing, Dings removed from a professional dentbuster. 3 of the 4 tires are matching Michelins (usually dealer installed) with 70% treadlife left. Right rear is a NEW General Altimax tire. Must have gotten an unfixable flat and had to replace. All ride on clean undamaged vibration free rims! Brakes and rotors are nearly new for pulse free strong operation. Typical antenna mast damage. $14 from Volvo for a new one. Rear bumper cover looks the worst of the 9 out of 10 exterior. Quite a few touched up nicks but no holes, cracks or other damages. Unfaded Vinyl trim looks great all the way around the car! Right rear picture, you can see the new Altimax tire. Below is a shot of the only visible exterior rust bubble aside the hood edge. Typical spot on these cars due to the lack of factory installed mudflaps. Interior is super clean! Easily eat off ANY area giving it a 9 out of 10 as well. Leather looks great, even the driver's bolster has minimal wear. No holes, cuts or damages to be seen. Dash and woodgrain look near perfect. Steering wheel has minimal, if any wear. Below you can see ALL the dummy lights illuminate as they should upon startup. For some reason the wiper fluid lamp stays on. It is full of fluid. Also, the engine light is intermittent. I ran the codes and found only one. P0036 for a temperature something or other. My scanner is super old and basic. It seems as if it's an interior climate control sensor?? As you can see below, the engine coolant temperature is proper. The interior climate control works perfectly in all modes. The car heats up perfectly with no overheating. So....??? This is a totally new code to me. Never saw one before. Otherwise, no other codes. ALL the power items work as they should: ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING, hot heat, power driver's seat, heated front seats, cruise, power windows, locks, sunroof, mirrors, climate control, info panel, even the cupholder is intact! Of course the unseen complete spare tire setup is intact too. Base factory manuals are included. TWO factory keys and one (needs battery) keyfob. Also is the one aftermarket WORKING remote starter/keyless entry keyfob! It works perfectly and I will show you during delivery of your car! I used to professionally install these. Easily a $400 option that yo get for FREE! Finally....the spotfree engine compartment drenched in recent servicing! Yes, clean enough to eat off of! Let's start...clean air filter with sprayed MAF meter. Recent Volvo spark plugs. Recent timing belt (I checked it to be sure and it's new as can be) that matches the written on date above. Super clean oil and spotless transmission fluid. Coolant is clean. No signs of any major oil or coolant leaks. No spots on my floor overnight. Looks to have recent new motor mounts installed as these usually start to fail at about 100k. Mostly causing vibrations. This car is super smooth. Engine fires right up with the overkill strong recent NAPA battery. Engine runs smooth and turbo spools properly. Front suspension(Bilstein struts, springs and mounts) looks as recent as the motor mounts, brakes and timing belt. Doesn't make a squeak, pop or rattle. Super tight and drives straight down the road with no unusual wandering or pulling. Transmission shifts perfectly. CV boots and shafts look clean and original. This is where I NEED to bring up an issue tho(trust me, I get yelled at regularly for my nitpicking on my sales!)...upon my 100+ miles logged on this car to ensure it's reliability, I can hear/feel a little bit of bearing noise/play coming from the left front side. It's really only noticeable at highway speeds and under cruising type throttle. Have to have the radio off and the windows up to notice it. But it's there. Over the years selling the Volvo lineups, I've encountered many things with the CV shafts and front bearings. Seemingly perfect shafts have caused huge vibrations under certain engine loads while driving. I've replaced them and the vibration would be gone. Yet again a car would have CV boots destroyed, and the it drove perfectly. Because I am one man with NO WAY to be under the car while observing a bearing/CV shaft noise at 55MPH, I haven't done anything about it. There's no vibration, so I won't replace the CV shaft, altho it can be internally worn. Transmission fluid is spotless and it shifts perfectly, so I can't really look there. With the car up on a jack stand, I didn't feel any wheelbearing play, but until it's all torn down, there's no way to tell if the wheelbearing is bad. Yes, I've had cars with no play then replaced them only to find out they were the culprit of bearing noise. I can't stand it that this car is perfect in so many ways then throws me for a loop. So, here I offer it, as ALL my cars, with NO RESERVE! With this particular car and it's miles, I suggest buying an aftermarket premium warranty (because you can) and you will be protected no matter what. Just my suggestion tho. In the meantime, I have no problems driving this car ANYWHERE! As I already have! BID, BUY, and DRIVE ANYWHERE with 100% CONFIDENCE!!! Inspect my excellent feedbacks! NO RESERVE!! GOOD LUCK! I apologize in advance if I sound like I'm scolding....but this NEEDS to be said. This vehicle is AS-IS/AS-SHOWN. The vehicle is in Illinois being sold by a dealer. WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE for your individual state's INSPECTION or EMISSIONS compliance. I am simply trying to offer you and possibly your family a quality reliable vehicle. Like most Americans, I still can't afford a new car. I regularly sell $3000-$6000 vehicles. Mostly what I would personally drive or own. I don't know if you are buying in my state or in Virginia or California...so I HAVE to make our cars ready for the road trip. I don't know who will be driving the car. So I MUST make it ready for your teen or your job in the morning. I can only promise I do the BEST that I can with what I have and what I sell. My EXCELLENT FEEDBACKS prove it. I'm not here to rip people off. I'm also here to help so feel free to contact me after purchase for anything. Even if you have any questions about a future purchase. Also, understand that I spend many countless hours (inspecting, repairing, cleaning, taking pics and writing specific personal ads) for everything I sell...not to mention the $125 sell fee that is charged to me at the end. Please don't jack around if you don't plan to go thru with the purchase. Thanks for your understanding. Now you're at the bottom. Hopefully I've covered the main specifics of the vehicle and eased your mind. I understand that you are putting yourself or your loved ones in this vehicle. I personally have put my own mother in an 01 C70 with 175k miles(which I just roadtripped 1500miles) and I personally drove a 98 S70 with 220k miles(which I just sold-see POSITIVE feedback)! Many of my personal friends drive cars that I have sold them. I treat you no different. If I haven't covered any of your questions or concerns, please feel free to email or call me at 815.744.7223. My name is Eric. Also understand that I have the right to end the auction early due to local sale. I STILL REQUIRE a $500 deposit to be made within 24hours. Use Paypal for the deposit please. Of course I understand each bidder/buyer has different payment needs. Sorry....no financing is available on this transaction. Please secure your own from you bank of choice BEFORE bidding. Remember....24 hours $500 deposit due....3 days for payment in FULL. Naturally I will assist in ANY shipping needs! Thank you for your interest on this NO RESERVE auction! GOOD LUCK! Venue of sale is Will County, Illinois. ALL BUYERS are responsible for $99 DOC fee. ALL ILLINOIS BUYERS responsible for 7% sales tax, $99 License Plate fee (or $30 current valid plate transfer fee), $95 Title fee. ALL COOK COUNTY (Chicago area) BUYERS responsible for 8.25% sales tax. There are about 8 other states that I (unfortunately) have to collect tax....but it's usually at a discount vs. regular in state. Vehicle is sold AS-IS/AS-SHOWN with no warranty expressed or implied. Please follow deposit and payment instructions posted. Cash in person is preferred payment. After full payment is made, you will receive vehicle (as shown/stated in this ad), title, associated paperwork and key(s).
