Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1956 Ford F100 and was built in the late 90s and is a very nice custom truck. It gets a ton of compliments everywhere I go. I drive it daily and it is a very solid truck. It’s in no way a show truck, if it were, I would be asking 50K for it, but it’s a great cruise in 50s custom pickup, cruises on freeway at 60 @ 2200 rpm. Will smoke the tires around town and hooks up when you want it to with the help of the spool. The truck rides is fine on smooth roads and even handles decent for being so old, but has mono leafs and is pretty low so it doesn’t ride like your caddy, so don’t expect it to. It’s not so low that it scrapes driveways or speed bumps, but when you hit a pothole… you’ll know it! · FE390 V8, 2bbl carb, FE manifold, electronic ignition, Cobra valve covers (black anodized) · C6 automatic transmission with shift kit · 8” ford rear end with spool (mild gearing) · Power steering (CPP Toyota kit) · Custom programmable gauges and aluminum dash bezel · Tachometer under dash (cheap one from the swap meet) · Mooneyes steering wheel · Aircraft style race lap belts · Power bench seat from late 60s GM (I believe it’s from an Impala or GTO) with folding arm rest (power is not hooked up) · GM steering column · Stereo (dash has been cut) with speakers behind kick panels · The interior was custom done in black with black carpet, dynamat and black headliner. · Dash and doors are painted orange just like the exterior · Everything works; Heater, wipers, turn signals with auto cancel · There is an AC cooler on the radiator, but I have no idea what’s missing or if it works · The truck runs consistently at 180 degrees, I have sat in stop and go traffic and the gauge never moved a bit. · mono-leaf/flip springs front and rear · Disc brakes front, drum rear (master, pads and shoes and some brake lines were just replaced) · Doors close solid with no sagging · Weld Pro Star wheels with BRAND NEW tires front and rear (295rear, 235 front) · Mini wheel tubs in the bed · New power steering hose kit from CPP · Brand new exhaust (from the headers back) with turbo mufflers · Brand new Sanderson headers (had to clearance drivers side rear tube to clear steering box) · Bed wood and stainless is fair condition and the tailgate has rust inside the lower tube, I just installed new latches from Mid Fifty · Tires are now black wall (not white lettered) and the pictures with the black steering wheel are older. The truck has a silver metalflake steering wheel from Mooneyes. · Grill and pinstriping is cream color, not white as it looks in the pics · The registration is current, the title is clear and in my name. I drive the truck daily, so it doesn’t need anything to start driving it, but I like to cover all issues so the buyer knows exactly what they are getting. The motor has an oil leak at the back of the manifold, I just fixed a transmission pan leak the truck does leaves some fluid on the ground. The oil pressure gauge needs new sending unit (oil pressure at motor is strong, even though the gauge reads super low). There are some cracks in side windows (I planned on converting to 1 piece windows from Mid Fifty so I have not dealt with it. Don’t let that discourage you, LMC sells NOS side glass for less than 100 bucks). The orange paint is good, but not great (lots of orange peel, rough surface and chips, but no dents), I took a picture of the roughest area for reference, mainly on the top of the front fenders and some on the hood. Let me know if you want more pictures. The truck seems to be pretty free of major rust but there is some visible in the usual places (door corners, tailgate pivot tube, etc.). I make no promises or claims of rust free for the areas I cannot see. I have no idea what the miles are on the motor, transmission or rear end (could be 10k, could be a million… the previous owner didn’t know either). It does everything fine, if someone put some time into it, it could do everything excellent, I just don’t have the time or the space. Everything listed in the auction is “to the best of my knowledge”, if I have misrepresented anything, it is not intentional, it’s either that I informed incorrectly in my research or info provided from the previous seller was incorrect. If you are local, you are welcome to come see the truck. Please ask questions before bidding. I am located in Seattle, Washington. Shipping is the buyer’s responsibility. On Nov-16-12 at 18:24:11 PST, seller added the following information: thanks for the emails.... I will address some of the questions below (keep asking questions, I'm happy to answer)the front brakes are power diskthe wheels are real Weld Prostars (aluminum) 10" wide in the rear (tires are brand new 295 rear and 235)the rear fenders are steel, not glassthe title is clear, in my name, the registration is current and in my namethe side window glass cracks are minor, windshield and rear glass are great with no cracksthe shifter has a mooneyes shifter ballgrill, tailgate lettering and pinstriping are off white/cream color (matching paint)I forgot to mention that the headlights work, high low works (switch is on the floorboard in factory position), signals work, hazards work, auto cancel works, the horn works (but is disconnected... I will hook it back up if you want). I just installed a brand new gas pedal Any other questions... let me know.
