Up for sale is my 1985 745I Turbo. This BMW has no more then 123K on the chassis -uni body around 1550 miles on fully built engine and 4-6k miles on brake system and all suspension related control and drive components. This rare 745i turbo has had many things replaced rebuilt and innovated into the car. The build started first underneath with all new control arms & bushings. pit man arm bushings...Front and rear wheel bearings were also replaced when the Bilstein suspension was installed.(front and rear) Brakes with new quad piston calipers in the front rear. Drilled and slotted rotors and new pads installed front and rear. full brake fluid line flush and new brake fluid (SuperBlue Racing Fluid) The rear LSD diff fluid was inspected then filled with Royal purple gear oil. Transmission fluid was changed with royal purple Max ATF. Drive shaft bearing replaced. both rear axles and cv joints were inspected for any leaks- noises and passed so were kept original. Engine: the m106 engine was already in great shape cylinder walls still had a like new cross hone etching and was apparent the car was never revved at a low temp and was driven prudent before engine operating temp. not too much carbon build up. I could clearly tell the engine is healthy and had a pampered life.I am somewhat obsessed with rebuilding these and many other more advanced BMW engines so it decided to tear the engine down and inspect and replace the wear parts. the main bearings and rod bearings replaced. New gaskets were replaced when putting the bottom back together.Cylinder head: remove and inspected (was in good condition however the cam was replaced w new roller rockers w new springs. new valves and valve seals with new valve springs. full gasket kit was used on engine for reassembly. Cylinder head was ported and polished intake and exhaust side as well. New head gasket Installed when the head was installed back on the block. (please refer to picture link) After install: new custom inter-cooler piping with SSQV2 super sequential blow off valve.modified idle control system. Msd ignition with new plug wires and cooler spark plugs(for higher boost)Cooling mist Water and Methanol injection system (200-250psi) (set @ 10lbs boost) PH10 nozzle.New alternator-power steering pump water pump thermostat... Optima battery moved to the rear of car to help accommodate the methanol-water reservoir close to the engine. (where the battery once was located. Fuel: new inline and intank fuel pumps Beji rising rate Fuel pressure Regulator, New rising rate 745i turbo Fuel injectors (2.3 ohm 294cc @ 3 bar)K27 turbo was upgraded (GT35R) new old stock waste-gate with the 10lbs spring) (boost can be adjusted from 5lbs to 25lbs with this wastegate with a turn of a knob) upgraded ECU good for up to 27lbs boost (700+hp) as the stock ECU will only allow 6 lbss before fuel shut off. ( a weak 252hp no fun) car was set @ stock 6lbs for break in period (500-800 high way low rpm miles then I made a another road trip up to my cabin high up in Show Low AZ and back Then The 745I was tested and gtech dyno around 483rwhp - 605ft lbs torque @ 22lbs boost. I currently have the boost @ a conservative 12lbs and will keep it that way until it's sold. It Boost can be adjusted back to stock level if desired (6lbs) (252hp) or turned up to 25+lbs at a turn of a knob in the engine bay.High flow exhaust 3" then 2 2.5 then back too 3" at down-pipe junction 3" all the way to exhaust.I can and will install a high flow 3" cat if requested also if you want dual exhaust pipes in rear as well. (free of charge)( if car sells for over 10 grand)The transmission shifts smooth and the economy program - sport program - manual tiptronic shifter and knob switch works flawless. This BMW has cold A/C hot heat & has winter package with heated seats. All electronics work. sunroof windows locks climate control OBC.Mahogany Nardi steering wheel will be replace with a pristine factory 745i turbo steering wheel if auction ends under 10k. On Board Computer works good. The dash does have some minor cracks. The Buffalo Leather seats have no tears or cracking. drivers side seat bolster is not over worn.There is one part on the drivers side arm rest there is on area were the stitching is coming apart. a small part of the rear seat back where the seat meets the seat bottom has a brown stain. ( i may or may not try to remove it) add some pics on the link.. The liquid crystal display on the Becker radio is half damaged but still displays the channels. However I have another stock Becker radio unit that has a perfect display I will add with this auction. The rear radio controls work flawless. as well as the rear power seats. Head liner is in great shape, the rare glass sun roof works flawless. Sun roof shade works great. rear window shade works great. all seat controls work flawless. power windows work..I have a another instrument cluster with km & miles and new battery-less si board installed upon request) Interior is in good condition executive buffalo leather. upon deposit a Brand New new windshield will be installed at my cost in as it has a crack (bummer as it was a brand new wind shield) a couple dings on the body on under the gas door the other above the rocker panel on rear door. over all body is 8-9/10rear power seats that work perfect as well as chauffeur seat and radio controls in the rear seat armrest. The staggered Hella headlights have H4 hid system installed @ 6000k pure white with a hint of blue. night driving this car is amazing. this car handles like a autobahn dream and is the epitamy of a classic highway cross country cruiserPaint: repaint was done feb 2010 with Diamount (R-M) base/clear system (BMW code 139)paint quality exceeds oem and is still like new finishWill add more info... Bottom line: the amount in parts and labor that when into this BMW far exceeds 25-30k and i can prove it ... it is by far the best value of any 745i turbo if it goes for under 15k This 745i Turbo has near 10X more un comedic upgrades done to it and is a way better car then that awesome looking (out side only) maroon 745i that just sold for about 12k.
