Vehicle Detail

This auction is for a 1928 Ford model A roadster pickup. I started with an original cowl and grill shell, so the back half of the body as well as the bed are scratch built using 18 gauge. The frame is also fabricated using 2x4 rectangle tubing and is made to follow the contour of the body. Both the body and the frame are painted with john deere blitz black paint. The 37-41 front axle is dropped and is set up with a spring behind in the wishbones which are also 37-41. The hubs, spindles and brakes are all from a 1948 ford f1 and have new wheels cylinders, shoes and the drums are good. The enging is a 1946 chevrolet 216 inline six with fenton cast iron headers (the original intake and carb are with the truck but just not installed in the photos) and 3 speed manual transmission as well as rear axle. The rear brakes will still need rebuilt. The rear axle will need an adapter to go from the chevrolet 5 hole pattern to the ford 5x5.5 pattern. Right now I've got it drilled so that the wheels will sit on there. The wheels are 1940 ford 16 inch painted a cream color with new 5.00x16 excelsior bias ply tires on the front and 7.50x16 roadmaster bias plys on the rear. The steering box is from a 1956 and the spindles have bolt on steering arms with the hoop style steering arm. It also has a new set of the ansen style pedals with a rebuilt 60-66 chevrolet brake/clutch master cylinder and a new speedway slave cylinder. none of which is hooked up. I've got a dark grey geo tracker rear seat the fits pretty well into the cab and comes with it, but is not pictured. Headlamps are early chevrolet and they are on top of a modified model a headlight bar. I have no rear light installed and do not have one to go with the truck. It will need to be wired and all brake/ clutch plumbing will need to be done as well. there are also no gauges to go with it. I has a windshield frame on custom windshield posts, but there is no glass in it. I chose to put the chevrolet six cylinder in, but it would be easy to switch in out for almost any motor tranny combo as well as any open drive rear axle. It would not take much to finish this truck up, and it would make for a great winter project. Please ask any and all questions you may have as I would be happy to answer them. I have a clean and clear title for a 1928 ford roadster pick up that comes with it. Thank you. On Nov-11-12 at 10:28:57 PST, seller added the following information: The cowl sides will either need patched or replaced due to rust. I also forgot to mention that the radiator is a newer griffin model. Also the truck will need new steering link and tierod as the ones on it are just for mock up and not in very good condition. Thank you. On Nov-12-12 at 17:19:16 PST, seller added the following information: The dash is from a 1934 ford car. Will need shocks and a fuel cell. i have an old fuel tank that goes with it but it will need work to be able to use it.
