NO RESERVE AUCTION---HIGH BID BUYS BIKE. This was a landmark bike when introduced in late 1975. No other 250 cc motocrosser could touch this bike around an MX track. It was so superior to anything else that if you weren'tt riding an RM Suzuki, then you had almost no chance of winning. This bike did exactly what Honda's Elsinore did when it was introduced in 1973; it totally dominated. These were extremely close replicas of Joel & Roger's works bikes from the year before. I bought this bike from a guy who claimed that he had just installed a new 1st over top end. I haven't taken motor apart (no need as it runs very strong) so I cannot personally verify. Bike runs excellent and strong. No rust or corrosion anywhere. Original aluminum tank has been repainted and I'm assuming any dings were filled beforehand, but I cannot see where any bondo was used. Not saying that there is no bondo, just saying I can't find any. Paint job is actually pretty decent with new graphics. This is a nice clean SoAz bike. ONLY ISSUES I CAN FIND: Missing rear chain tensioner. Original grips were replaced with Oury's, original IRC's replaced wth nice set of knobbies and these look like they've got around 80% tread left with no sidewall cracks. All exterior plastic is reproduction and looks quite good. Side panel # plates are new. Original pipe & silencer are nice with a few minor dents here and there. Seat cover is incorrect, and foam is a bit lumpy underneath. Replacement shocks and original forks are very clean with no leaks. Bike is sold as is with no warrantees or guarantees of any kind offered. NO TITLE and MILEAGE is UNKNOWN but I had to list something due to ebays regs. I can write a bill of sale for any $$ amount you want if that saves you some coin during registration in your state. I can hold bike for a month after purchase but bike does not leave my posession untill all funds have cleared my bank. Payment of $250 deposit via paypal after auction ends and the rest in cash in person, personal checks, wire transfer, all OK. Runs excellent with no issues.
