Vehicle Detail
1991 Toyota Cressida Cheap transportation. Runs well. Pennsylvania state inspection accomplished in October 2012. Some rust at door jams and fenders. Cold r12 A/C. Starts easily during all seasons when engine is cold. When engine is hot, it could be a slight challenge to start. It will start, but it has to run through the hard hesitant running stage. One has to continue to give it gas and slightly higher RPM's until it settles down. It has been this way for several years. I was not overly concerned about it. I was told it could be a leaking fuel injector or possibly a faulty head gasket. Again, the problem existed for years, and may continue to run for years with this being the only problem. I have another Cressida, actually I have owned five Cressida's , they are great cars. Basically I have to many cars and it is time to upgrade as well. This car is not for the faint of heart. It does run well and smooth, but does not have ABS, air bags and is rear wheel drive. Leaks and burns some oil. Engine has 82,000 miles. Even though the tires passed PA State Inpection, I would not take this car in ice and snow, unless I have tires with very good tread and weight in the trunk. Car is also listed local. Please email any questions if I left out important info. On Nov-10-12 at 20:00:17 PST, seller added the following information: Thought it best to clarify , the starting problem. It does not offer difficult starting every time the engine is hot. I usually happens most often and consistently when it is hot and humid. I was driving the Cressida today, temperature in the 50's, had very little problems starting and putting the car in drive, after a few short errands. But, the problem could still be a leaking fuel injector, head gasket or maybe a sensor. Like I mentioned above, I have this problem for some time, just wasn't worth fixing it. If you want to deliver pizzas in the middle of summer, this car is not for you.
