In its final year in the U.S., the 1960 Chrysler Saratoga was based wholly on the New Yorker body shell, less New Yorker trimmings, and again offered in three body styles – four-door sedan, four-door hardtop, and two-door hardtop coupe. Some 15,525 1960 Chrysler Saratoga’s rolled off the assembly line of which only 2,963 were order as a 2 door hardtop. As one searches the internet, various advertising and numerous publications, it is very difficult to come across a Saratoga weather it be newsletters, advertising pamphlets, a list of owners or especially complete vehicles. Simply put these Saratoga’s of which only 2963 built are extremely rare. When can you say you had last seen one at a show, in a magazine, or cursing down the boulevard. This 1960 Chrysler Saratoga seen here is one of very few in existence and arguably one of the finest on the market.This vehicle has a well-documented history and includes its original sales order, build sheet and new car invoice. WOW not only it is a beautifully restored example but all its original paperwork has followed the car since new. On March 18th, 1960 Gust Duell Trostem of Mason City, Iowa drove 20 miles out of town to a local dealership in Nortwood, IA. After Walking into the Taylor Auto Company Mr. Trostem ordered a 1960 Chrysler Saratoga, After Custom ordering a few unique options including Heater, Radio with Power ant, tinted glass, White Wall tires, Remote Mirror, Fender ornaments totaling $4429.25, He traded in a 1956 Buick Century for $1854.25 on 3-18-1960 and drove away in his brand new 1960 Chrysler Saratoga. The vehicle has undergone a total restoration and has been refinished in a Factory correct color Toreador Red with a Formal Black and Red Leather interior. The vehicle is powered by a freshly built 413 V8 engine with 350hp equipped with a smooth shifting automatic push button transmission and includes Power Steering and Brakes and Power antenna. The vehicle sits on a beautiful set of wire wheels with Whitewall tires. The vehicle runs and drives excellent and shifts like new. Finished in a striking color combo the exterior is beautiful with very nice chrome and a clean interior. Chrysler reused the Saratoga nameplate in 1957 as part of its "Forward Look" styling by Virgil Exner, The Saratoga was positioned between the base Windsor and top New Yorkers models, but received trim upgrades and better appointments inside the passenger compartment giving it a plush and exciting interior coupled with ample performance 413 / 350hp option was available. In its final year in the U.S., the 1960 Chrysler Saratoga was based wholly on the New Yorker body shell, less New Yorker trimmings, and again offered in three body styles – four-door sedan, four-door hardtop, and two-door hardtop coupe. Some 15,525 1960 Chrysler Saratoga’s rolled off the assembly line of which only 2,963 were order as a 2 door hardtop.

As one searches the internet, various advertising and numerous publications, it is very difficult to come across a Saratoga weather it be newsletters, advertising pamphlets, a list of owners or especially complete vehicles. Simply put these Saratoga’s of which only 2963 built are extremely rare. When can you say you had last seen one at a show, in a magazine, or cursing down the boulevard.

This 1960 Chrysler Saratoga seen here is one of very few in existence and arguably one of the finest on the market.This vehicle has a
well-documented history and includes its original sales order, build sheet and new car invoice. WOW not only it is a beautifully restored example but all its original paperwork has followed the car since new.

On March 18^th, 1960 Gust Duell Trostem of Mason City, Iowa drove 20 miles out of town to a local dealership in Nortwood, IA. After Walking into the Taylor Auto Company Mr. Trostem ordered a 1960 Chrysler Saratoga, After Custom ordering a few unique options including Heater, Radio with Power ant, tinted glass, White Wall tires, Remote Mirror, Fender ornaments totaling $4429.25, He traded in a 1956 Buick Century for $1854.25 on 3-18-1960 and drove away in his brand new 1960 Chrysler Saratoga.

The vehicle has undergone a total restoration and has been refinished in a Factory correct color Toreador Red with a Formal Black and Red Leather interior. The vehicle is powered by a freshly built 413 V8 engine with 350hp equipped with a smooth shifting automatic push button transmission and includes Power Steering and Brakes and Power antenna. The vehicle sits on a beautiful set of wire wheels with Whitewall tires. The vehicle runs and drives excellent and shifts like new. Finished in a striking color combo the exterior is beautiful with very nice chrome and a clean interior.

Payment can be made by Cashier's Check, Money Order or by Bank Wire Transfer Funds must be cleared before car leaves our establishment Cashiers checks must clear for ten days as well unless verified by the bank. Calif. residents are required by state law to pay state tax and license fees. Purchaser will pay for any and all shipping costs. We are willing to assist in finding a shipping agent, we have several we are confident with. Any vehicle purchased in California and not shipped on a commercial carrirer out of state is subject to Tax, and All Dmv Fees associated. If a buyer buys a car and hauls it on his own trailer enclosed or open the transaction is also subject to Sales Tax and DMV fees. If a buyer buys a car and wishes to drive the vehicle home we are required to collect california sales tax. Sales tax is non-refundable for any reason.
