The upscale Capri was introduced in 1952 and it was meant to capitalize on the decline of Packard and to become a stronger challenge to Cadillac. By April of 1955, Lincoln enjoyed new status as a separate division with the formation of Lincoln-Mercury, and the success in the Carrera Panamericana during 1952, 1953, and 1954 brought many engineering improvements to the marque. It was also the first year Lincoln used its own Automatic Transmission oppose equipping the cars with GM's Hydra-matic.
This 1955 Lincoln Capri is equipped with its original 341 V8 engine with 225hp. The vehicle is a California and Arizona car with only 38,000 original miles the vehicle has been freshened up with a new paint job, interior and chrome all finished its original colors of Cashmere Coral and Ermine white. The vehicle was built on March 14, and was the 362nd car built. The car is in Immaculate condition shows well and drives like a dream, The vehicle is sitting on a beautiful set of Large whitewall tires, and has many unique features including a continental kit and fender skirts as well as many comfort options like power steering/brakes/ seats etc...
