This is a 1968 Oldsmobile 98 2Door Hardtop. It is a numbers matching car. The engine is a 455 4 bbl, Trans is th400. Factory a/c, just recharged and blows ice cold. Power steering, Brakes, Seats, Antenna, Windows. The engine is freshly rebuild. New pistons(.040 over), Cam, Lifters, Push Rods, Roller Rockers, Valves, Springs, Oil pump. Also new Radiator, Hoses, Water pump, Fuel pump, Motor mounts, Trans mount, Belts, and tune up parts. All new exhaust. The carburetor is a Quadrajet reman by summit. The choke wasn't the same as the original and wouldn't work so it is removed and wired open. All new steel pre bent brake lines(minus the long front to rear line as its new bulk steel line). New master ans wheel cylinders. All new brake hoses. New front and rear springs as well as all shocks. The radiator upper support bracket is missing as well as the overflow tank. I bought this car with the engine already removed. The story I got was that it is a true 17,000 mile car and had been in storage since 1980 until 2010. The speedo cable was frozen and broke so the speedo doesn't work and I cant find a replacement. So is it a true 17,000 mile car? I really cant be for sure. The car was repainted back before it went into storage in the 80s. I believe it has some body work done on the drivers side quarter just behind the door. The deck lid and both bumpers need to be replaced due to rust from the inside. the lower parts of the fenders look pretty good but some rust spots are starting to come through. The floor boards are solid and have no holes. The interior is in good condition minus a few flaws. The lower front seat cushion on the drivers side has a tear at one seam ans the seat back cushion on the passenger side has a small tear also. The carpet in the back behind the drivers seat is worn out. It will need new tires. The car runs and drives great. I take it to local car shows and its always well received. Its a great driver condition car not a show car. I'm trying to start a business so its time for me to start selling some cars. I have over 3000 in just the engine. Clean Illinois title in hand.
