Greetings true believers- Up for sale is my beautiful 1976 Jensen GT with 95k on the clock. I've had this car for about 2 years and maybe driven it 100 miles, it sits stored in my garage for me to look at- before that it sat in a private collection as well. I'm stepping up to a Jensen CV8 and clearing some garage space. This car runs fantastic, no obscene leaks, carbs are done right. The paint is factory white and at some point it was resprayed and looks great, to shiny to be original. The factory sunroof is in good shape except the opening mechanism inside the vehicle is coming apart so I stopped opening it. The AC has been removed from the vehicle but the controls are still in the dash incase someone wanted to try to find the bits. Power windows work great also. It could use new outer mirrors (SEE PICS). Also a interior carpet kit and seats are original and starting to look faded and the cloth is separating. The clutch feels great and goes into gear fine. The VIN is 30482, so its right at the end of the line being number 511....... Trying to think here, it has a exhaust leak in the midpipe somewhere, I may take care of this before its sold. The interior light covers have rotted away (PIC). The car does have a back seat, but unless youre a ewok- I dont think there usable. Im sure there will be questions, so fire away- I do have the car for sale locally, so the auction may end at anytime. The Jensen has some paint cracking on the drivers side of the bonnet about halfway down where the bonnet bows when its up due to the weight and poor design of the hood prop (a common Jensen-Healey problem) if anyone needs a pic, Ill email you one. Also the sunvisors are deterioriated and the blower motor is hit and miss. Trying to be as accurate as possible with this 36 year old beast!
