Purchased by me as certified pre-owned from Claremont Toyota (Southern California) with 31,967 miles in May, 2000.Clear title. No accidents. Runs Very Well. To the best of my knowledge, the truck has always been in California except for several out-of-state trips. **For Following Descriptions, Check Pictures Carefully. I will do my best to describe most of the problems but do not guarantee your complete satisfaction with perceived problems that are not listed. In other words, the truck is almost 14 years old and is not perfect. In my opinion, it is in very good condition overall. If you see something in the pictures or description that concerns you, please contact the seller. I will not bargain or negotiate after the truck has been purchased by auction on ebay. If you bid and win the truck, it is yours with no guarantee or warranty of any kind for the final bid price. Transportation and delivery of truck is buyer's responsibility. Exterior 1. Original natural white paint; some dings, dents and scratches in tailgate (large dent/crease), passenger side rear pillar, under driver side door, driver side panel at bed gap, below antennae; some chipped paint on hood, front panels, tailgate and door edges. All original Toyota badging in place.2. Chrome bumpers and grill are in excellent condition showing very little surface rust. Rubber trim all around shows some sun wear but no significant cracking. 3. Windshield professionally replaced about 6 months ago.4. Rear Sliding Window and rear quarter windows are functional and have original hardware and tint.5. Toyota bed liner has been well-used and has scratches, gouges and some buckling on floor. Stock bed tie-downs in 4 corners have surface rust. All 4 stock plastic hub caps are present and show some wear. Tires are BF Goodrich with good tread (purchased at Sears 20,000 + miles ago)Interior1. Seats and upholstery are original. Some staining on both seats and on carpets all around (see pictures). Have not attempted deep cleaning.2. Some plastic trim grommet pieces missing from side of seats and door panels.3. Some plastic trim pieces are scratched, gouged or show wear.4. Driver Side Front Seat Belt is functional but retraction device is slow and probably needs to be replaced soon.5. Mechanical Interior parts--front seat mechanisms, rear jump seat hinges and latches, window winders, door latches, locks, glove box door, ash tray, center console lid, cup holder, rear cup holder, storage doors on rear floor, dome light--show some wear but are all functioning normally.6. Interior Electrical/Mechanical--including aux 12 v power outlets, dash lights, switches, gauges, AC/Heat/Vent controls, parking brake handle, shifter--are in good condition and seem to function normally.7. After market JVC CD player with built in cassette (not functioning), removable face and 12 disc hardwired changer under passenger seat with extra 12 disc magazine. 12 years old but still functions well with minimal disc skip. Mechanical1. Engine is Solid Mechanically. Engine runs well and has been been serviced regularly--oil, filter, lube, fluids, new belts--by dealer, shop and owner. Starter replaced in November, 2006. Battery replaced in June, 2011. AC charged 4 months ago.2. Transmission gears are all functioning normally. At times is a bit noisy/clanky when shifting from reverse to 1st or vice versa. Does not seem to impair functionality.3. Clutch is hydraulically controlled, seems to function normally and has not been replaced since I bought vehicle in 2000.4. Lights function all the way around. Headlight lenses have some age fade.5. New California-specific Catalytic Converter installed recently (original factory bolt on was stolen) with both converter and re-bar anti-theft measure welded in place. Will not affect performance but will certainly help in deterring future theft.6. Wheels aligned by Sears when new tires installed 20,000 miles ago. Tracks straight and true.7. CA Smog Certificate will be obtained after sale by present owner. Factory engine specifications.8. Smallest 4 cylinder engine available for Tacoma. Runs on regular gas. Regularly gets 20+ MPG city and 25+ MPG highway. ***The previous version listed the rear sliding window as "power." It slides but is manual.
