My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I buy fresh trades and sell them directly to the public "as-traded". I personally road test each unit before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how each one runs and drives. Please keep in mind as you read this description that I am neither a mechanic nor do I operate a full service automotive facility. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description, read my terms & conditions and review each photo closely BEFORE asking questions and BEFORE placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a fairly uncommon BMW. A manual transmission BMW is a very desirable vehicle. A manual transmission 528i Sport is an especially desirable vehicle. The "Sport Package" is the most commonly faked option on a BMW but there are several ways to spot a true "Sport Package" vehicle. The one that is least faked is the steering wheel. People can change wheels, trim...or whatever else but almost nobody goes to the trouble to switch the steering wheel. All BMW's that carry the factory "Sport Package" come with the three spoke steering wheel with the Motorsport logo on the center spoke and blue/red stitching around the inside of the wheel. Please take the time to read this ENTIRE DESCRIPTION as there is a lot one should know about this vehicle before bidding. I would rate the exterior condition of this BMW to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age of the vehicle. As you can see in the photos, this is a good looking car. It is finishd in a very desirable silver on gray and has been outfitted with the multi spoke wheels from a 540i which give the car an aggressive look thanks to the deep lip on the rear wheels. The hood has some rock chips as you would expect to find on any older vehicle with over 100k miles. Otherwise, there is no noteworthy damage on the body of this BMW. The windshield is cracked on the passenger side and may need replaced depending on your states individual inspection laws. The other glass and all lenses are intact. As I said, this BMW is equipped with the larger wheels from it's V8 counterpart which show well. The two of the tires are completely shot...the other two are average. I would rate the interior of this BMW to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for a vehicle of this age and mileage. The door cards are clean, tight and show nominal wear. The carpets could use cleaned but are not worn through. The seats are in decent condition and are comfortable and presentable. The headliner is clean. Only the c-pillar cloth is sagging. The wood accents show well. The original Motorsport wooden shift knob shows well. The power windows, locks, seats, sunroof and mirrors appear to be working properly. The climate control is automatic and appears to be working. The air conditioner blows ice cold air. In true BMW style, the cup holder are broken and worthless. The stereo is original. The trunk is huge. Mechanically, this BMW appears to run strong but there are some things you need to know before bidding. The BMW inline six is a great engine. It starts easily and runs smoothly. It has no leaks that I've seen. It keeps good temperature and runs smoothly. The front end (bushings, end links, ect.) is completely shot. It feels loose over bumps and can vibrate excessively at highway speeds. I've driven it from below Baltimore to Central PA (75 miles all highway) so it is drivable but I would advise any buyers more than an hour away to come with a trailer or have it shipped. This is common with 5 and 7 series BMW's and isn't too costly to repair. The entire lower front kit can be had on eBay for under $300 and any competent mechanic can have it done in about 5 hours. The steering and brakes both feel good...although you do get vibration in the wheel and brakes but I believe that is a product of the worn bushings...rather than a fault of the steering or brakes themselves. Aside from the intermittant vibrations caused by the front bushings, she drives down the highway smoothly. Additionally, the ABS module will need re-flashed. This can be done for less than $200. What this means immediately is that the ABS does not work. Since the speed sensors that communicate with the instrument cluster go through the ABS module, both the speedometer and odometer are not operational. The car was this way when I purchased it. As a dealer, I must sell this vehicle as Not Actual Miles because the vehicle has been driven an undetermined amount with the speedometer/odometer not working. Also, there is a noise coming from the rear of the car. It is hard to tell if it is just a wheel bearing or the rear itself. My gut says it's a wheel bearing because these rears are not known to be a trouble spot but, as a buyer, you need to consider that possibility. To end on a good note, the clutch feels great. It engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the manual transmission are also smooth. Make no mistake, this car will need a fair amount of work to be right. If you can do everything yourself, I'd figure roughly $1,000. If you use a shop, it will depend on their labor rate. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I buy fresh trades and sell them directly to the public "as-traded". I personally road test each unit before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how each one runs and drives. Please keep in mind as you read this description that I am neither a mechanic nor do I operate a full service automotive facility. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description, read my terms & conditions and review each photo closely BEFORE asking questions and BEFORE placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a fairly uncommon BMW. A manual transmission BMW is a very desirable vehicle. A manual transmission 528i Sport is an especially desirable vehicle. The "Sport Package" is the most commonly faked option on a BMW but there are several ways to spot a true "Sport Package" vehicle. The one that is least faked is the steering wheel. People can change wheels, trim...or whatever else but almost nobody goes to the trouble to switch the steering wheel. All BMW's that carry the factory "Sport Package" come with the three spoke steering wheel with the Motorsport logo on the center spoke and blue/red stitching around the inside of the wheel. Please take the time to read this ENTIRE DESCRIPTION as there is a lot one should know about this vehicle before bidding.
I would rate the exterior condition of this BMW to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age of the vehicle. As you can see in the photos, this is a good looking car. It is finishd in a very desirable silver on gray and has been outfitted with the multi spoke wheels from a 540i which give the car an aggressive look thanks to the deep lip on the rear wheels. The hood has some rock chips as you would expect to find on any older vehicle with over 100k miles. Otherwise, there is no noteworthy damage on the body of this BMW. The windshield is cracked on the passenger side and may need replaced depending on your states individual inspection laws. The other glass and all lenses are intact. As I said, this BMW is equipped with the larger wheels from it's V8 counterpart which show well. The two of the tires are completely shot...the other two are average.
I would rate the interior of this BMW to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for a vehicle of this age and mileage. The door cards are clean, tight and show nominal wear. The carpets could use cleaned but are not worn through. The seats are in decent condition and are comfortable and presentable. The headliner is clean. Only the c-pillar cloth is sagging. The wood accents show well. The original Motorsport wooden shift knob shows well. The power windows, locks, seats, sunroof and mirrors appear to be working properly. The climate control is automatic and appears to be working. The air conditioner blows ice cold air. In true BMW style, the cup holder are broken and worthless. The stereo is original. The trunk is huge.
Mechanically, this BMW appears to run strong but there are some things you need to know before bidding. The BMW inline six is a great engine. It starts easily and runs smoothly. It has no leaks that I've seen. It keeps good temperature and runs smoothly. The front end (bushings, end links, ect.) is completely shot. It feels loose over bumps and can vibrate excessively at highway speeds. I've driven it from below Baltimore to Central PA (75 miles all highway) so it is drivable but I would advise any buyers more than an hour away to come with a trailer or have it shipped. This is common with 5 and 7 series BMW's and isn't too costly to repair. The entire lower front kit can be had on eBay for under $300 and any competent mechanic can have it done in about 5 hours. The steering and brakes both feel good...although you do get vibration in the wheel and brakes but I believe that is a product of the worn bushings...rather than a fault of the steering or brakes themselves. Aside from the intermittant vibrations caused by the front bushings, she drives down the highway smoothly. Additionally, the ABS module will need re-flashed. This can be done for less than $200. What this means immediately is that the ABS does not work. Since the speed sensors that communicate with the instrument cluster go through the ABS module, both the speedometer and odometer are not operational. The car was this way when I purchased it. As a dealer, I must sell this vehicle as Not Actual Miles because the vehicle has been driven an undetermined amount with the speedometer/odometer not working. Also, there is a noise coming from the rear of the car. It is hard to tell if it is just a wheel bearing or the rear itself. My gut says it's a wheel bearing because these rears are not known to be a trouble spot but, as a buyer, you need to consider that possibility. To end on a good note, the clutch feels great. It engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the manual transmission are also smooth. Make no mistake, this car will need a fair amount of work to be right. If you can do everything yourself, I'd figure roughly $1,000. If you use a shop, it will depend on their labor rate. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
We take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
