1958 Edsel Pacer 2 Door Hardtop For sale is my 1958 Edsel 2 door hardtop that I started to restore but now have to give it up. I began with a very nice California car with minimal rust or damage. What repairs were required were completed with new welded panels not fiberglass or filler. The body was and is very solid. What work we completed is of a high degree of detail as you can see in the photos. I was building the car as a driver that could go to any show and take home an award. I have a clean, current California title with the original black license plates. Below are some of the highlights of the work already completed. Body California car Body removed from frame and stripped of all paint Minor rust repaired with new welded panels – very solid car Body presently in primer ready for finish body work and paint Every part blasted or stripped and in primer ready for paint All stainless trim in very good/excellent condition Chassis Frame is powder coated semi gloss black. Entire front and rear suspension rebuilt including all bushings replaced. Painted with a semi gloss urethane black. Complete brake system rebuilt including wheel cylinders and power master cylinder. All steering components rebuilt including power steering pump, control valve and hoses replaced. New fuel and brake lines. Tele Touch components rebuilt by Mike Brogan New body to chassis mounts when body was remounted to chassis. Brand new Coker Classic G78-14 bias ply white wall tires Underside of car highly detailed (See photo) Engine Original 361 CI engine. We ran the engine twice since rebuild and it sounds great. All parts ultra sonic cleaned including block, heads and intake manifold before machining and assembly. New pistons/rings/tappets/push rods/connecting rods/bearings/seals. Crankshaft and camshaft reground by Isky cams. Cylinder heads rebuilt with new seats and guides and required valves. Transmission rebuilt including torque converter Misc Many extra parts including: Front grille Stainless steel exterior trim pieces Glass Factory radio Hub caps Bumpers with brackets All parts that are not reinstalled on car are ready for paint. All big pieces are boxed and protected from damage and all small pieces are in marked zip top bags in plastic storage boxes. This is a very nice car that needs someone to finish it. It needs very little as we started with a very complete car and made it better! Every necessary part is here, plus some extras. It needs only a small amount of finish body work, paint and assembly. Obviously the car must be shipped on a trailer or carrier. I will assist in loading and shipping anyway I can.
