Vehicle Detail
I have a 1982 Jeep CJ-7 for sale. The Jeep has a 4.2 litre straight 6 cylinder engine that has been overhauled by previous owner with a new clutch and pressure plate installed at the time of the rebuild. I have his name and phone number for any questions. The engine runs great and does not smoke, rattle or leak anything. The transmission is a 5-speed manual that shifts smooth and has no problems. The Jeep has disc brakes on the front and drums on the back. The 4 wheel drive works as it should with Warn manual hubs in the front. The transfer case is smooth and quiet with no problems. The Jeep has a Pro-Comp 6 inch suspension lift with the extended braided brake lines and a Pro-Comp steering stabilizer also. The Jeep has Centerline 15x10 aluminum wheels with General 33x12.50x15 mud terrain tires that have excellent tread on them. The chrome tube bumpers are from American Iron and are in good condition, The Jeep has a set of Hella halogen lights that are wired seperate from the headlights. A new flip and fold rear seat was installed in the Jeep last year. The Jeep has a set of extra wide Bestop fender flares and a lot of stainless steel trim also. The Jeep looks good and runs good, but does have some rust issues that are showing bubbles under the paint in some places. The Jeep has a bikini top only with a set of hard doors that go with it also. The frame has had some panels welded in to repair rust and looks good. I see no problems with the repairs. The floor pans have been replaced in the Jeep also. The windshield has a crack in it and may need to be replaced to pass state inspection, depending on where you are. The heater fan switch needs to be replaced also. The Jeep runs good and the 4 wheel drive works great, steering is good and pretty tight. It does not wander all over the road. The Jeep has a low reserve considering the money thats been spent on the Jeep. Thats about all I can think of about the Jeep, but I'm sure I forgot something, so feel free to ask anything and I will try my best to answer in a timely manner. Thanks for looking and good luck on bidding.
