Newer shocks, dual exhaust, tires and some gauges. Underside has some surface rust but very solid. Originally sold with a black convertible top, this white top has minor wear on edge trim and rear window zipper does not work but otherwise in good condition, leak-free and goes up and down easily. Inspections welcome, sold as-is in great original condition you will not be disappointed. On Oct-26-12 at 12:49:11 PDT, seller added the following information:To answer numerous questions: We will not end the auction early. This Corsa Convertible was purchased on March 4, 1966 by RL Sayers in St. Joseph, Mo from Keith Marsh Chevy for the purchase price of $3028.65. It remained in that family for years until traded to the second owner for a motorcycle earlier this year. We purchased the car this past September from the second owner and the car has been in Ohio since 1966. It has been very well maintained, but we do not have repair records. This color is the original color of Madeira Maroon as indicated on the window sticker and the car was repainted years ago. There is some very slight crazing visible indicating possible body repair in the photo of the gas cap. There is no body work needed at this time. I am attaching photos of the underbody. An insurance appraisal was recently completed by a veteran IAAA appraiser at an estimated market value of $15,000. The vehicle insurance appraisal form will be provided to the new owner. We have a clear Ohio Title with no liens and a bill of sale with be provided to the new owner. Thank you.On Oct-28-12 at 12:29:41 PDT, seller added the following information:The dashboard and interior vinyl are original. The interior vinyl on the seats and door liners have absolutely no rips or tears or any wear spots. The seats do have the silver oval buttons about 3/4 the way up the seat back and these are in good condition with no pitting or corrosion. The seat vinyl is very pliable and the springs are stiff and supportive in both the front and rear seats. The dashboard has no cracks and has not been repainted or repaired. We agree the paint seems much more red in the photos taken from a distance but the actual color overall is closer to the close up pictures and is the correct Madeira Maroon. Thank you.On Oct-28-12 at 14:48:58 PDT, seller added the following information:The engine is a 4 carburetor 140 hp engine correct and original to this car. Thank you.On Oct-29-12 at 04:55:23 PDT, seller added the following information:The the reserve was met and the Buy It Now price ended when this happened. Please consider the vehicle purchased with your final bid. We are happy to facilitate a trip to Columbus, Ohio (airport CMH) and personal inspection before the bidding ends. Thank you.On Oct-29-12 at 11:42:31 PDT, seller added the following information: A full inspection was recently completed and determined that the odometer stopped working at 68,799 miles, which must have been shortly before the photos were taken. The odometer was working prior to this and we will sign the title over certifying the milage. The car will NOT be driven for any reason other than test drives. The speedometer works fine and was tested against a GPS unit and found to be accurate. Also, the windshield washer spray is not functioning. The washer motor is working and the hoses are flexible and clear of debris. We are told the washer fluid motor needs to be primed with fluid before the washer fluid can be dispensed. All other guages work perfectly all the time (including the clock which may folks have asked about). Please bid accordingly. Thank you. On Nov-02-12 at 19:16:59 PDT, seller added the following information: We are happy to assist the winning bidder with the transportation of the car by storing the car inside for a short time after the auction close and even driving it to an auto transport company in the Columbus, Ohio area for delivery. All other transportation or pick-up arrangements should be made by the winning bidder. We recommend you purchase insurance upon purchase and we will e-mail the winning bidder the vehicle insurance appraisal form estimating market value at $15,000. Thank you.
