I want you to know exactly what you are buying so you can bid with confidence. Up for NO RESERVE AUCTION is a 1997 Nissan Maxima. The Maxima is the top of Nissan’s line and was a consistently well rated car when it was new. The 3.0L V6 engine was ranked as one of Ward’s Ten Best Engines for most of the 90s. Mechanically, this Maxima seems to be in good order. The V6 engine runs well and has good power on the road. The automatic transmission shifts smooth and easy. This engine and transmission are known to handle high miles well, I have seen quite a few Maximas with a quarter million miles or more. The steering is responsive and easy. The suspension is noticeably bouncy and makes some noise, it probably needs shocks all around. The brakes stop the car well. There are no check engine lights. The paint on this Nissan is a green so dark that it looks black in some lights. As you can see in the pictures, it has quite a few of the nicks, dings, and blemishes that accumulate from age and use. It looks to me like this car has seen quite a few parking lots and street side parking. The mirrors, lights, and glass all appear to be in good condition. The wheels have radial tires with good tread all around. The tan cloth interior of this car is in better than average condition for the age. The seats are comfortable and the fabric looks good. The driver’s seat is power adjustable in a dozen directions and it works as it should. The carpets and headliner look good. The dash and door panels show well and are firmly attached. The heater blows hot. The power windows, locks, and mirrors all work smoothly. The Kenwood aftermarket stereo has decent sound quality. There is a full set of floor mats. This car has a current PA safety and emmissions inspection good through the end of January 2013. The Maxima, like all well made Nissan sedans, will take a lot and keep on going. This one doesn’t show any signs of stopping anytime soon. We offer a unique way of purchasing a car but it does carry additional risk to the buyer when compared to buying a vehicle from a retail dealership that has been inspected and may carry a warranty. Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 administrative fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any transfer costs incurred by the purchaser. The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
