My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. I bring fresh trades from larger dealerships and resell them directly to the public "as-traded". Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of purchasing a vehicle. I personally road test each vehicle so I can give you my first hand opinion of how each unit runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am neither a mechanic nor do I operate a full service automotive facility. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description, read my terms & conditions and review each of the photos carefully BEFORE asking questions and BEFORE placing a bid. It is the responsibility of the bidder to know what they are bidding on. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1978 Mercedes-Benz 300D. When you hear someone say "they don't make 'em like this anymore", this is a perfect example. This car came from an era when it actually meant something to own a Mercedes-Benz. Overall, I would rate the exterior condition of this Mercedes 300D to be AVERAGE for the age of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a good looking Mercedes. As you would expect with an original older Mercedes, there are some areas of concern on this vehicle as far as rust goes. I've seen rust on most lower portions of the car in different amounts. There is minor rust on thr front and rear under the bumpers. There is minor to moderate rust on the door bottoms and door jams. I also saw a few bubbles at the back window. All that considered, this Mercedes is still in good condition for its age. The paint shines well and still wears a good coat of wax. All of the body panels line up well. Overall, the car feels solid. The hood, trunk and doors all close with that nice Mercedes "thunk" as they should. The wheel covers look good for their age. The chrome is in good condition overall. The tires show average tread all around. Please take the time to check each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior of this Mercedes 300D to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age of this unit. You can see the superior build quality of these vehicles immediately upon entering this car. The door opens with a solid and well engineered feel. The leather trimmed door panels show a little age but are clean and presentable. The original carpets show a little wear as you'd expect but are in good condition for the most part. The seats appear to be the original horse hair leather fitted seats which are still comfortable and show very well for their age. The leather headliner also shows well with minimal pulling and only one rip. The dash is not cracked. The wood trim shows very well and is a true hallmark of Mercedes quality. Everything in this Mercedes appears to be original. The radio is the original Becker which still works. The antenna still goes up and down, too. The speakers could use updated but sound okay for an older vehicle. The climate control system also appears to be original. It may be just me (this car is older than I am) but I can only get it to work on defrost mode. The original books, an OE parts reference book and a stack of records are jammed in the glove box. I haven't had the time to sort through them all. The trunk is spacious and clean. The power windows work, the power sunroof works. The right rear window is apparently stuck down and won't come up. The opening was covered, as shown in the photos, when I recieved the vehicle. Mechanically, this Mercedes appears to be in good running and driving condition. As I said earlier, this vehicle is older than I am...and I'm not an expert on diesels but I'll do the best I can here. This appears to be a very correct vehicle. Even the battery is an original equipment battery. The engine starts on its own with no issues and minimal smoke at cold start. She idles well and doesn't seem to have any noteworthy leaks. I've personally ran about $100 worth of diesel through this car and it drives great. The suspension feels nice and tight all around. It drives nice and strait down the road with no issues. The brakes do an excellent job at stopping this vehicle, too. Out on the road, the temperature stays right at 175 and the oil pressure is perfect. Like most older diesels, you're probably not going to win any drag races. The transmission engages like an older Mercedes and shifts fine. It will easily cruise down the highway at 75mph. The odometer is broken at 124,xxx miles. I have absolutely no idea what the actual mileage of this unit is. I have personally put a few hundred miles on it with no issues and would drive it anywhere without a second thought. This appears to be a nice, original Mercedes diesel. It is not perfect. However, if you want a good mechanical platform to restore or just want an incredibly reliable vehicle...here it is. I would literally drive this car cross country without hesitation. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility. Accepted Payment Methods: Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw. Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later. All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day. Bid Retractions/Changes: We take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. I bring fresh trades from larger dealerships and resell them directly to the public "as-traded". Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of purchasing a vehicle. I personally road test each vehicle so I can give you my first hand opinion of how each unit runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am neither a mechanic nor do I operate a full service automotive facility. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description, read my terms & conditions and review each of the photos carefully BEFORE asking questions and BEFORE placing a bid. It is the responsibility of the bidder to know what they are bidding on. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1978 Mercedes-Benz 300D. When you hear someone say "they don't make 'em like this anymore", this is a perfect example. This car came from an era when it actually meant something to own a Mercedes-Benz. Overall, I would rate the exterior condition of this Mercedes 300D to be AVERAGE for the age of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a good looking Mercedes. As you would expect with an original older Mercedes, there are some areas of concern on this vehicle as far as rust goes. I've seen rust on most lower portions of the car in different amounts. There is minor rust on thr front and rear under the bumpers. There is minor to moderate rust on the door bottoms and door jams. I also saw a few bubbles at the back window. All that considered, this Mercedes is still in good condition for its age. The paint shines well and still wears a good coat of wax. All of the body panels line up well. Overall, the car feels solid. The hood, trunk and doors all close with that nice Mercedes "thunk" as they should. The wheel covers look good for their age. The chrome is in good condition overall. The tires show average tread all around. Please take the time to check each of the photos carefully.
I would rate the interior of this Mercedes 300D to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age of this unit. You can see the superior build quality of these vehicles immediately upon entering this car. The door opens with a solid and well engineered feel. The leather trimmed door panels show a little age but are clean and presentable. The original carpets show a little wear as you'd expect but are in good condition for the most part. The seats appear to be the original horse hair leather fitted seats which are still comfortable and show very well for their age. The leather headliner also shows well with minimal pulling and only one rip. The dash is not cracked. The wood trim shows very well and is a true hallmark of Mercedes quality. Everything in this Mercedes appears to be original. The radio is the original Becker which still works. The antenna still goes up and down, too. The speakers could use updated but sound okay for an older vehicle. The climate control system also appears to be original. It may be just me (this car is older than I am) but I can only get it to work on defrost mode. The original books, an OE parts reference book and a stack of records are jammed in the glove box. I haven't had the time to sort through them all. The trunk is spacious and clean. The power windows work, the power sunroof works. The right rear window is apparently stuck down and won't come up. The opening was covered, as shown in the photos, when I recieved the vehicle.
Mechanically, this Mercedes appears to be in good running and driving condition. As I said earlier, this vehicle is older than I am...and I'm not an expert on diesels but I'll do the best I can here. This appears to be a very correct vehicle. Even the battery is an original equipment battery. The engine starts on its own with no issues and minimal smoke at cold start. She idles well and doesn't seem to have any noteworthy leaks. I've personally ran about $100 worth of diesel through this car and it drives great. The suspension feels nice and tight all around. It drives nice and strait down the road with no issues. The brakes do an excellent job at stopping this vehicle, too. Out on the road, the temperature stays right at 175 and the oil pressure is perfect. Like most older diesels, you're probably not going to win any drag races. The transmission engages like an older Mercedes and shifts fine. It will easily cruise down the highway at 75mph. The odometer is broken at 124,xxx miles. I have absolutely no idea what the actual mileage of this unit is. I have personally put a few hundred miles on it with no issues and would drive it anywhere without a second thought. This appears to be a nice, original Mercedes diesel. It is not perfect. However, if you want a good mechanical platform to restore or just want an incredibly reliable vehicle...here it is. I would literally drive this car cross country without hesitation. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomodating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you or your shipper may arrive and nobody will be at our facility.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
We take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
