This car has had the carburetor rebuilt, engine rebuilt, and transmission rebuilt about 7,000 miles ago. There has been a lot of other work but too much to list. I put on new shocks about 2000 miles ago and it has a fresh oil change. I have all of the receipts from the work. They total about $6,000-$7,000. It does have factory a/c but needs to be put back in and be recharged and all that. The parts were removed when the engine work was done and since their shop didn’t do a/c’s they left it out. I have the compressor with the mount and I tested it to make sure it engages and it does. The only a/c parts missing are the a/c condenser and fan, which can be purchased on line. It leaks a small amount of oil from the distributor o-ring which is a $2 part. I just haven’t had the time. The odometer reads 38,XXX. I would have to assume that it rolled over since it is a five digit odometer and judging by the condition I would say it is reasonable to assume the actual miles are 138,XXX. Since I have owened it (about 14 months) I have driven it from California to Montana and then Montana to New Mexico without any problems. It is currently my daily driver in town, on the highway(although slow due to it being a 4 speed), and in the mountains. It has a pioneer cd player with a usb ipod hookup and pioneer speakers with a hands free Bluetooth setup. I have never used the hands free part so I cannot say if it works or not, but the cd player and speakers work great. I haven’t tried to figure out what the gas mileage is but I fill up the tank on $30 and that easily lasts a week or more while being driven daily to and from work, to the ski hill, etc. The lady I bought it from said she got 38 mpg around town. This is typical so probably accurate. The interior is in great shape. There are a couple of small cracks on the dash about a half inch long or less each and one longer one in the middle that is not that noticeable yet and a small rip on the interior of the hatchback about an inch wide. The front seats need reupholstered just on the seat bottom portion, which I was told isn't expensive. The rest of the front seats are in great condition. The rear seat is perfect. The carpet is in great shape except for under the front mats where the mats wore it down a bit. The paint is very good for being original (as you can see in the pictures), but would need a repaint to be in fully restored condition. The paint on the interior is still in excellent shape and only has minor chips from the seat belt hitting it. It seems as though at some point someone painted the front hood and fenders probably due to sun fading. With a little more work this car could be fully restored and worth a lot. I have seen fully restored cvcc’s similar to this go for 7-8 thousand dollars or more. THE GOOD THINGS:Tires are in decent shape and have quite a bit of tread left. The Engine rebuild, Trans rebuild, Carb rebuild, New Clutch and most of the other work was done less then 10,000 miles ago and I have the paperwork to prove it.New distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs and spark plug wires done about 5 hundred miles ago.Brake pads on the front have about 2,000 miles on them.I have an extra 5 Speed transmission that is included with the car that has been gauranteed by Rapid Imports in Rapid City, South Dakota. I was going to put this in this winter if I kept it.It was set up with factory a/c. However, the compressor needs to be put back in and a condenser/condenser fan assembly need to be purchased for it to be complete.Comes with an awesome Honda service manual for doing your own repairs and for reference.THE NOT SO GOOD: The body has a few minor dents. 2 on the roof(pictured) and the front bumper has one in the center(pictured). The speedometer jumps around a little bit at low speeds below 15-20 mph but still works and gives you your accurate speed.Driver's side window needs a new regulator(the window needs help into place when rolling up).Needs rack & pinion unit- $137.00 2 O'ReillyWill need a cv joint rebuilt or new cv half shaft put in.- $60 at O'ReillyCould use an alignment. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This car has been terrific and extremely reliable. It even starts right up in below zero weather and it does great in the snow. However, I want a 4x4 pickup for the mountains so I need to sell it. I have tried to be as thorough as possible but this is a car and there are a lot of things to consider, so I encourage you if interested, to please email or call me with any and all questions you might have. I want the buyer to feel confident and be happy with their purchase. *Buyer is responsible for pick up or making shipping arrangements. However I can make reasonable accomodations to help out such as picking you up at the Albuquerque Airport if you were to fly in to pick it up. *Make sure you have the money to buy the car if you bid. *This car is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells. *Note: If you use Buy It Now to end the auction early please call me so we can make arrangements as I will be out of town for a few days. Call Tanner @ (406) 431-5400 or email with any questions. Thanks. And good luck!
